CareGoons attack Jita in tanky Drakes!

Didn't see that coming. Roll

Yeah, Drakefleet doesn't ever work and is not a successful tactic.

Dude, I don't like the Goons, but you have to remember their goal was never neccessarily to kill more ISK than they lost. It's to cause FUD and remind people they aren't safe in hi-sec. In fact, if you take into consideration that the Goons probably simply wouldn't give a damn if they lost every single cent in every single member's wallet to this endeavour as long as it hurt somebody else, it becomes even more striking

Actually, you know, I'm beginning to respect Burn Jita a little more every time I think about it. Not like it, you understand, but respect it... 'cause jeez, these guys just do not give a ****. They'll continue blowing up things until the very moment they're told to stop by Goon high command, even if it costs them everything, just to screw someone else over. That's... dedication, if nothing else.

Besides, a fully-loaded freighter can carry, what, several billion ISK? They pop a few of those and the win/loss ratio would look a lot more healthy.

I imagine they have enough ISK to go on indefinitely. Goons can reimburse every lost Tornado and Thrasher easily, you have to remember in the leagues of space rich, they're at the top with all those moons (tech is now 208,000 ISK per unit!).

Looking at some of the kill mails today and AAR's, some people are coming away space rich from this just on taking stuff from wrecks. When freighters are dropping faction BS hulls and dozens of T3 hulls its easy to see that this might go on, and on.

Yup, now that the king of space has decided that EVE's New End-Game is High Sec Griefing, the hand of CCP will indeed be forced to change the fundamental game mechanics, nerfing it utterly. He will have 'won' I guess, from the standpoint of 'ruining your game'.

I'm just trying to enjoy the game before it becomes Disneyland soon.

EVE has no end game, there is no 'Winning' EVE. Maybe Solar have won, they own the most systems. ;)

Why do they have to change it? Its sandbox content. Eventually they'll have to go on campaign elsewhere, enough raging publords will get bitter enough and start throwing themselves like Imperial Guard at the gates of VFK (please do) or they'll get bored. Maybe the South with try and invade again and real war will happen. Maybe they'll get bored by Monday.

Basically, everyone stop being a drama queen. A year from now, this will be a fond memory, Goons might not even exist in there current form but EVE will still be here, the same old EVE, the same game thats been doing the same thing for 10 years (by then)....allowing players to make there own content.

What possible reason could there be for CCP to change game mechanics, this will be outstanding for the health of the game.

Things are working exactly as intended.

Never has it been said, or implied, that a Null sec entity could not come after a specific area of high sec... if they are willing to take the inevitable losses.

Isn't it amazing what people can do when they are willing to get organized (choose leaders, agree to follow instructions to achieve common goals)?

Isn't it amazing how impotent people can be when the refuse to work with others, or set aside their personal greed for the greater good?

You give them books,
and give them books,
and all they do,
is eat the pages.

The problem is Andreus, there is yet another exploitable bug at play through all this and its preventing people from justified pod-kills after the goons (and friends) take out targets. Its pretty frustrating to watch 12 tornados explode and have 3-4 pods locked only to get the concord warning on each one before you fire. Does seem that crime watch is not working properly at the moment and the suicide gankers are getting away with it while concord does nothing but blow up the ships of people trying to murder goon capsules.

Disappointing really.

But I guess we all knew there had to be some kind of greasy exploit behind this plan.
