Amarr empire standings not going up

i have been working on improving my amarr empire standings by doing missions mainly for civic court in area Miah my standing with a particular agent are 6.2 however my standings with amarr empire have not risen once while doing these mission's it seems to be stuck at 1.69, am i doing something wrong here? have been doing lvl3 security types

Have you been doing the storylines?

That is where the Faction standing increase comes from, the normal missions only give you the corp standing.

Unless its a storyline mission your faction standings wont increase, at a noticable level anyway.

Missions & Complexes sub-forum is a better place for this type of thread.

Faction standings will increase after completing a Storyline mission which is offered via Eve mail after completing 16 regular missions of the same level for the same Faction.

You can check the amount of completed missions by r-clicking on the Corporation and select 'show transactions'. Do the same on the Faction to see storyline missions completed and then cross reference the date with the Corp transaction record to see how many more regular missions are needed to get next storyline offer.

A faster way to boost Faction standing is to complete missions for Event_Agents.

To repair bad Faction standings, check out The Plan.

Note:
Sometimes a log out and re-log back into the game is needed for the server to update your standings. If you don't receive a Faction standing increase after completing Storyline or Event Agent mission, file a petition in-game.

as others have said, run missions for Amarr agents and you must do the story lines. I went from like -.60 or so to 3.00 in little over a week so it' s not too bad. Also be sure you Connections skill is around a 4 as that helps. The SOE Epic Arc also helps, I got about a .60 increase on that one alone.

edit - if you are looking to do this for level 4 missions, be sure you run missions for a good size corp so you have access to a lot more agents. I was running missions for Amarr Navy myself. With just a 3.00 standing with that corp, I have access to all their level 4 agents

Well, you must have a higher Faction standing which allows you to access level 4 agents if the Corporation is +3.00 standing.


Agents accept standings that are modified by Social skills. Level 1 agents are always available unless you get that specific agents standing down to -2.00 or lower.


Level 2 = +1.00
Level 3 = +3.00
Level 4 = +5.00
Level 5 = +7.00
