I'm about as big a carebear as they come, and I think the "Jita Burns" event was a fantastic opportunity to see some very pretty lights. Moreover, the "time dilation" feature is pretty freaking amazing. I took a bunch of pictures with a little Sebiestor parked in a noob ship. Any ship in the foreground that is not a noob ship is not me.

The Drake and the Abaddon featured in several images took *insane* punishment. Pretty much every Abaddon that undocked shot at that Drake, and it lasted plenty long. Ultimately, however, the Drake popped and I believe the Abaddon I was watching survived.

Thank you. I was a bit surprised by the freighters at first, too, but I didn't see any of them get attacked. The charon image was one of the last ones I was around for, and I think it really is an example of the game's visual appeal at its best:

I wish I had such a nice collection of SS. These two shots are my favorite I've taken myself.

It's neat to see the fleets in formation like that. By the time I made it there, everything was of course very jumbled. I almost got the DrakeSwarm, but it started to break up just as I arrived. Those rectangles reminded me of the monoliths in one of the 2001 movies.

When the (I believe Orphanage) Abaddons emerged from the station, that also felt very cool - but large groups of ships don't really come out of stations in a photogenic way.

I agree, this is one of the most beautiful actionshots I've seen in Eve. Also love that Charon freighter, it's almost like he's thinking *just another day in Eve* while ships blow up left & right.

Also this event? This is what EvE is all about, to create your own events, to set your own destiny and mark your entry into EvE's history.

Hopefully CCP are also taking some pictures and sending them to their friends in the press, along with a story about their sandbox game.

I can't think of a better way to promote their upcoming expansion.

You do have a really good eye for composition.

You can get rid of your newbship by hitting 'look at' station or some nearby wreckage then moving the POV around from there. just sayin

As a person and player i completely approve of the artistic element of these pictures!!Smile
(only, don't get us wrong. United Space Defense Force is an unregistered subdivision of Concord, Focused around the defense of Humanity from rogue drones, evil aliens and capsuleer pilots with a bend on unprovoked attacks. so tomorrow WE FIGHT -or something like that)
