After being gone for 4 years I decided to come back and try Planetary Interaction. So I exit the station at Jita to take my Retriever back out to High-Sec before I start surveying around.

Jita is .9 sec right? Should be fine. Nope. Exploded and got pod killed.

10mil is nothing, but I still find it annoying.

I'd say you picked a bad time to come back but then it is probably going to be like this from now on.. if it ever was any different.

I spent all kinds of time in Jita and .5 + security all alone in my crumby mining barge when I last played. Never got killed once. If I wanted to PVP, I would go to null-sec.

So what... I need body guards in Jita now? **** that.

Congratulations on not even doing cursory research, checking Local or anything remotely resembling intel for a game you're coming back to after 4 years. You'll fit in perfectly in High-Sec mining ... P

So you know - The Goonswarm Federation is burning Jita from the 28th of April. Anything that undocks will be destroyed. Some of them are probably a bit inebriated and getting the party started a bit earlier, but yeah.

Not a good time to come back and undock in Jita in a Retriever!
