Hey.

I've been playing eve for a few months now, got around 5.5m skills, nicely fitted caldari navy raven what is able to tank almost every lvl 4 security mission without without shield going under 95%(I've been doing missions A LOT)....and Im getting bored like hell Straight

Missions are too easy for me, but Im kinda scared of PVP because of I'm not that skilled yet, and I'd never be able to get CNR with similar fit back......I wanted to try mining, but I'd need shitload of skilling for that...Been running missions with corp but thats even more boring than running em solo.

Any suggestions what I could do? Like I said I'm pretty much focused on pve, I have decent skills for that..but nothing exciting, 5,5m skills isnt much...I dont really know if I should continue.

Don't use the CNR for pvp. Use something cheaper.

Also, you could try some trading, that doesn't require too many skill points. Though, it's not exciting if all you want is to blow things up.

Well, then it's time to start playing the game,
instead of just doing boring grinding against NPCs ...

Welcome to the sandbox ... players create the content.
If you just do missions, you miss like 99% of the game.

PvP is something you have to move forward to.
There's no point in being afraid ... it's a game.

Just do it ... and there are TONS of other things to do.

Stop thinking "what can i do" and just move out and do **** for the sake of it.
Nobody tells you what to do (except TOS/EULA) so don't think that
you have to follow some sort of rules or something ...

... just experience the "reality" of New Eden ... and enjoy it !

And stop being emotionally attached to your crap.
It's just crap. And even worse ... it's not even real crap.

You should think about giving your stuff away as well.

If you're scared of actual PvP, go PvE in NPC 0.0 (rat, scan down sites, pirate missions, whatever) in a cheaper ship and enjoy the challenge of dealing with hostile players.

Or just quit.

Hello and welcome to EVE.

You will have noticed that this forum is ... one of a kind.

I suggest you quit only your corp. Seems they are useless to you and only want to take taxes of you. Pack away all the expensive ships for now, get into cheap frigates and cruisers and join the militia. Alternatively join Red vs. Blue.

John RVB and you can have lots of PvP in cheap ships that wil cost you nothing to replace.

And if you hate missioning you will really hate mining

Mining is a trap Lol

Seriously though, the best way to get over your fear of PVP is to actually do it, it doesn't need to be expensive, it doesn't actually need masses of skills. To get a nice balance of PVP/PVE I would suggest looking into Red vs Blue, it's cheap PVP with cheap ships & cheap fits, if you run short of isk they don't mind you either leaving corp to run missions or jump cloning out of the combat area to do the same.

Alternatively if you don't fancy PVP look at wormhole corporations, the NPCs are magnitudes less boring than the ones you find in highsec and the rewards are well worth it. Be warned though wormholes are technically nullsec, local doesn't work and PVP will happen to you. Also don't be tempted to think that because your CNR can handle everything a mission can throw at it that it will do the same in a wormhole, it won't and it will die, leave it in empire.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Dude,
5,5 million is like... 4.5 million more SP than you need to PVP.

At 5.5 millions your clones cost next to nothing.
Now go, set a jump clone and get into a clone with no implants, buy and outfit some T1 frigates and go join Red VS Blue, or, get a drake and go join Faction warfare...

just LAY OF THE DAMN MISSIONS damn it...

Or simply, get a frigate and jump into 0.0 and go for a roam, see how far you get.
Train into a stealth bomber, covert ops cloak and torps. Do not care about the bomb, bring something to probe out GRAV sites. (kill miners)

If you give me 100 million isk, I shall teach you how to low-level pvp.

Then I shall return it afterwards, doubled.

Enjoy.

So you scared of pvp...mkay I'm gonna try to help you out, you'll see it's cake !

Pick anything frigate sized you can fly, fit a disruptor first, an AB or MWD, shield extenders (no matter the meta) and whatever you need to go faster like nano or "thing that makes you go faster", undock with some friends and go tackle stuff.
Yes you'll die easily and quick but what the heck, those frigs you can get them for free at rookie level.

That's it, pvp is that hard and expensive to start.
