Hey scrub, "you're" the one that trolled me first so don't even start with that crap. My opinion of that crappy Minmitar rust bucket is perfectly valid and in no way does it merit "your" response of calling me a tool.

As to the topic at hand, I think the Amarr one is shaping up nicely. It didn't look as good at Fanfest but they seem to have improved it quite a bit. Has anybody tried to log onto Duality yet to see if these models are on the test server?

The same way they got missile models from SiSi or Chaos, the model assets are in game, the textures and such are not in the data. They put finalized content into various patches when its done to save on size for the finished product. Its ground work.

Manticore style is still too smooth and rounded. All that smoothy stuff needs to be replaced by straight edges.

Nemesis engine nozzles are too puny - need to be much bigger.

the enw hound is like a sh*tty oversized, rusty podracer.

Aye next month. Though the problem with the Hound is that its looks clean....I want more rust on Minmatar ships XD

The new hound is the best because it gets the best tv reception!

So I put down my thermos of Eve kool aid, took a run around the block, hit the gym and sauna and then after doing my best prayers to the internet space ship gods came back and looked at the new Stealth Bomber models again.

I don't think we are having make up sex after this.

THEY SUCK!

Specifically, what is with the horrible color schemes and odd rounded cartoon edges? They look horrible. The Hound looks even more like a cell phone tower attached to a strange bundle of receiver boxes. The Purifier looks like the armored version of a religious stink beetle. The Manticore has the best lines but loses them to an atrocious paint job. The Nemesis which I so looked forward to is just a bloated jumble of blah... a cylon raider with rice burner carbon fiber extras hiding a bloated pizza filled body.

I'm very sad. I can only hope that these are not final renderings.

Please internet space ship gods (or the Mittani which ever has more pull) please don't let these be the final renderings.

Read a few posts up and you will see that these are not the final versions of the ships.

Also, your attitude is the reason CCP (and most companies in general) hate sharing unfinished product information with consumers no matter how much they say they desire it. I thought it was cool that Sarmatiko made that video for us but now I'm thinking he may have done the art Devs a disservice. (there is no second chance to make a good first impression)

Because it doesn't make sense to design all the large launchers based around ships that don't normally use them. It is the same way with turret sizes, the physical assets just don't match up. You would end up with ships mounting launchers that are 1/2 the size of the ship themselves, trying to get 6 of those on a frigate would look stupid.

Thus they had to be redesigned to fit the larger launcher sizes and the new bomb launcher.

The Raven has plenty of room to mount those launchers, the Stealth Bombers did not.
