Lawless systems in high sec..

I would like to see at least 2 lawless systems in high sec. : No policing what's so ever , no stations to hide in 1 gate in and 1 gate out.. The gates should be fitted with guns that will inst pop anyone in any size ship that fire's or uses any type of eu within 250km of the gates so there will be no gate camping.. Make these lawless systems a pvp playground .. Being in high sec allot i wish i could just have some pvp without having to loose standings and being gate rapped as soon as i go into low sec.. It would be fun ..

Flip miners can

Flip mission runner can

Dec a corp

Join EVE Uni

Join Red vs Blue

BLAM! Done, no need to waste time because you are tired of getting shot at by gate guns <-- which need a buff by the way that oblitterate everything so gate camping can stop but that will never happen, so enjoy the emptiness of lowsec you all create.

don't like flipping cans especially miners , it sucks. Don't wish to war deck , allot of hassle and not everyone in corps want the hassle. Don't want to join anything to be honest buddy just want some pvp fun without getting rapped at the gates .. or try out some new setups, tactics.

Not really m8, WH are hassle to find ,, and camped allot. My idea would help the new pilots to pvp ..

I kinda want lowsec to be this, buff lowsec guns to keep people off the gates and promote probing and POS wars.
This would make lowsec way safer while still allowing pvp making it the perfect middleground between high and nullsec.

I see the OPs points, but some alternative fixes and features would be a lot better to resolve it..

I would like to ask ccp to consider making it easier to publically share locations (bookmarks). Even the name bookmark is so antiquated it hurts my eyes from an rp perspective.

I think if we could drag and drop all locations to any chat and into mails we would see some nice new play styles and businesses. This would make it possible for people that are intersted in scanning for profit to have an easier life.. Also granting salvage rights to missions would be a bit simpler. There are ofc many usages for this..

About high sec aggression.. I think we need to consider the micro corp idea that Soundwave mentioned in a recent interview. Getting rid of the traditional npc corp "protection" and creating Partnership businesses with factions. These corps could have many added features like "letters of marque", Vendettas, duels and comfort flag flying. Thus adding some degrees of pvp on a more voluntary functionality. Such features could be removed and nerfed a lot on old npc corps. So players would still be able to carebear, but would have more history and information. This might also help only neutral party involvement in combat.

well lowsec is lowsec that wont change and that's fine . the lawless systems im thinking about you cant have a pos. Just a system to pvp without the sec drop and gate ****. No cap ships and nothing to mine.. Killing fields :)

Gate guns and station guns boost everywhere would really make for more game fun. There would be a need for some added incentives to be undocked. Currently its a bit to "profitable" being en route on protected lines, docked at station doing industry or trade. PVE needs some sort of boost to engage active play styles, so more incentive to interact..

Maybe some more "roaming" rats type missions, and similar ideas. The current pve is kinda "stupid" and not motivating to much engagement and exploration. Being forced to say use the scanners to hunt down rats, or use locator agents to find targets of a mission, asking for specific goods for distribution agents etc. These things might help get players more active undocked..

you would have none of the above problems and it would encourage peeps to try there hand at pvp . As the gates would be the only safe place peeps would be safe to enter these systems and fly to safe spot or planet/moon then take it from there..

So you want carebear PVP ? Easy mode, no risk...just undock, warp to gate, jump, fly off like its a deadspace pocket and engage some other dude as if it was an NPC....with no risk to yourself but the one guy. EVE isn't about reduced risk (except for the case of gankers whining they should not have to use anything but catalyst to take out a hulk), find a target and move on after that.

Red vs blue is exactly what you are looking for though. Its two player corps that run a permanent wardec for constant action

Wormholes are exactly what you're after. They're easy to find as can be discovered by talking to any explorer. The number of times I've heard (and said) "NOOOOOO! Not another wormhole!" is ridiculous.

As for the camping thing, I play in WHs a lot. And I mean, a lot. It's very simple, pop in, if it's camped pop back out to high sec. Find another WH. I'd say on average about 1% of the WHs I've been in (directly from hi sec) are camped.

Having a nullsec system in the middle of high sec just wouldn't make any sense in lore. Why would any of the 4 empires not subsume a single nullsec system inside their space. In their expansion it would have been subsumed, naturally.

So what you're asking for wouldn't make sense to the game and you have 2 other perfectly good options, WH if you can be bothered to scan and low sec.

As for not wanting your pvp area to be camped, what do you think would happen to a nullsec system in the middle of high sec? Yes, that's right, it would be perma-camped.

So basically: you're too lazy/stupid to go to lowsec or null, or make use of the many ways to PVP in highsec, and instead of making any kind of effort just want some new system types implemented.

my 2 cents

btw i hate to say this but garmon and co did make some awefully instructive videos, go on youtube and watch them, also, kil2 and kov (ftw)

technically its not the game or mechanics that are the problem, its the players, the worst being null/lowbears saying "learn to pew" and moaning about highsec rr but they never fly solo and getting them to leave the undock where they have 20 people waiting to undock with all sorts of cap rr...

Law-Less High-Sec is Low-Sec.
Don't see an issue with the Gate / Station Guns, although would be cool if they had Dampening Fields that Disabled Logistics that were within 250km.

But then that's more cause I'm not fond of the new T3 Gangs with RR that are roaming about, unless you also have similar sort of ships while you're roaming you can't even hope to take one of the ******* with you. Just irritates me, really.

Wouldn't mind seeing High-Sec (1.0 - 7.0) and Medium-Sec (7.0-5.0) becoming seperated, with High being focused on far greater reduced rewards (Bounties, Mining Ores, etc..) while being basically Safe (like a Suburb) where-as Medium would be more akin to a Ghetto area. Concord is slow to turn up, and attacks in numbers possible to handle (kinda like how they were originally) ... to me that would make "High-Sec" a bit more interesting.

Still think given the number of in-corporation (and sometimes multi-corp) Tournaments that go on, would be nice if CCP implimented my Areana Concept; would be a Structure that is Anchourable (like a can) that would create a pocket of Deadspace that the Anchour / Corp who owns it can set Win Conditions and the Conditions within it - there could be a leaderboard ladder attached along with an in-game ISK betting system and cameras of the action for by-standers and peeps in Captains Quarters.

I know people hate the idea of adding small arenas, which is effectively what the original poster is asking for... but there is some worth for them where PvP could be a fun e-Sport. After all we'll be able to view DUST 514 games, knowing us we'll also be betting on the outcomes regardless of CCP adding in such a system; we do that sorta stuff now anyway with EVE Poker and Ship Lots. Why not simply legitimise it. :)

I would like to see all capital ships (except the rorqual and frieghters) limited to null sec only.
This would allow low sec to become a pvp arena where you don't have to worry about getting hot dropped on by a blob of carriers.

Second, I would like to see your suggestion of gate guns that could actually kill crap.
This would stop the gate camps, which are actually a large portion of the problem when considering why people don't go into low sec.

Third, to make up for not having dreads to bash POS's and carriers to repair POS's, I would like to see a new ship introduced that can perform both tasks.

It would be a t2 version of tier 3 battleships. It could either be set up as a triage vessel, or a bombardment vessel.

With triage mode you would be able to fit capital class shield transporters, but they would be specifically only activatable on structures, thus keeping these ships from being used as any type of logistics.

Now, when fitted as a bombardment vessel they can fit capital class turrets/launchers to give them a reasonably high dps output, but their tracking and/or exp radius/velocity would limit them specifically to only being able to effectively pound on structures.

In the case of a triage vessel, it's given a high war core, and moderate tanking ability, but no ewar or dps capability.

When bombardment fitted it can't really do anything but tank and spank structures. High tanking ability with high damage output, but low effectiveness against ships in general.

These wouldn't have to use any special modules for siege mode or anything, because their movement ability is also part of their tactical advantage.

These ships would be allowed in both low and high sec, so high sec POS bashing and repairing would actually be doable.
