Encreasing Freighters cargo hold with conditions

Hi,
I understand the reasons behind the current limitations on Freighters cargo space limitations.

However, I would like to propose that we give Freighters the option to expend their cargo hold only in low sec and below.
In theory this could work by limiting the expended cargo freighter from Jumping in to highs sec as it will be too heavy to jump through the gate. That means, changing gates to high sec to have some kind of weight limit similar to worm holes but static.
What you think?

Why? There's no need or justification for this beyond "I want to carry more cargo", it doesn't do anything good for the game as a whole.

Freighters actually use low-sec routes? If so, where are these routes. I have to... umm... see this for myself. Because I'm a skeptic. Yeah... Pirate

It's more common than you might think.

I've seen a few, including one with an outpost in it (boy was that guy pissed), but its pretty damn rare. Everyone just uses jump freighters/carriers to move stuff now. I've even heard some people use titans to bridge freighters about when they're carrying outposts.

Also, no to the OP. Logistics needs nerfing, not buffing. Can't fit everything in your freighter? Better make that freighter run across low sec twice then.

if you want to increase cargo, why not give them some form of GSC or something with more capacity than volume, so that total, undivided cargo does not exceed 1M

edit: not that i particularly want this done, just an alternative method that does not require special conditions

I think increasing freighters cargo holds is a terrible solution to what sounds like a logistics problem.

I would rather support making it easier to get into freighter piloting, and make them cheaper to build.

Also making some tweaks to fleeting, that benefits empire and industrial game play, like "CONVOY" variation of fleets.
Where maybe something like "auto return target" and "auto fire" , would be an option. This would maybe add some semi automation by multibox/multiclient players being able to create their own security.. This being very poor defense compared to active pilots ofc.

Also adding a feature that loads and unloads cargo. A module that only goes on industrial ships? This would only be cargo in containers and courier contracts.

Things like this would be more along the lines of what would help the whole game, and not just your specific case.

there.....is an auto return target. you can toggle it on or off, and IIRC set the number of target backs you get, up to like 7 or something.
