what should i train next ? i have a wish to pilot large number of ships (spaceship command), do lvl4 sec missions with no big problems (gunnery, repair), but i really like trading (trade and stuff) ... what should i do next ? i know my crazy skill spread is bad but i have to go somewhere, i have 1 remap available because i screwed up when returning to EVE after 4 years of ... living on earth Lol

(someday i would like to do 0.0 ninja plexing)

i know the next is cybernetics to lvl4 just after my navigation lvl5 finishes Blink

THX A LOT !

I'm a diplomat. Sometimes i throw 425mm wide briefcases at enemy. Such is EVE.

You could do with training to V quite a lot of support skills which would make you better at anything you do in a spaceship, be it PvE or PvP.

I would do these to V ASAP (in no particular order):

-Evasive maneuvering.
-Spaceship command.
-Energy systems operation & Energy management.
-Shield operation & management.
-Sharpshooter, motion prediction, controlled bursts and Weapon upgrades.
-Signature analysis and long range targetting.
-Combat drone operation.

I think these (most, at least) are absolutely desirable for everybody, from the hardcore PvPer to the Freighter alt.

Probably you will focus on a few ships first, and train the needed skills for those. BUT when in doubt, you would do well if you trained to V a few of those in the list.

As Malcanis once wrote: "if I could train Evasive Maneuvering to VI, I would". And damn he is right.

GETTING inside a ship is nothing without the proper support to make it work.

First you need to optimize your attributes to reflect the skills you are training (EG: for electronics, you need Intelligence and Memory, so have 3-4 more points in Intelligence than memory, and all other attributes need to be at their minimum). Most skill categories fall under Intelligence / Memory, so train those, then switch your attributes to Perception / Willpower for gunnery and spaceship command. Drones are Memory / Perception, and they are the only ones that use that combination, so don't adjust for that. Just make sure you are able to use +5 implants. That should be sufficient. You really just need to train Amarr and Caldari Drone Specialization and other drone skills (Navigation, Sharpshooting, Durability, Heavy Drone Operation, etc...) to Level 4.

Train for your ship skills and gunnery since you already have your attributes set for those skills. And don't train for a huge number of ships, especially if you're only going to be doing missions. Being Gallente, I'd stick with a Dominix as your mission runner, as they can hold the most drones. As far as gunnery is concerned, don't worry too much about getting huge numbers there, because using drones as a Gallente is more efficient than shooting weapons in missions, because not all ships are within range and there are different types (Frigates/Cruisers/Battle Cruisers/Battleships) so using large weapons won't work against smaller ships.
Next, train your support skills, such as mechanics, electronics, engineering, navigation, whatever after you remap your attributes.

There's not really a set way of doing things, but optimizing your attributes will drastically cut down on training time.

Later on in your Eve career, you can go back and train all the skills you want just for the hell of it.
