And finally, there are others in frigates doing exactly the same. Can't say for others, but if I saw a new player in a frig, I wouldn't WTFPWNBBQ him with our BC or T3 gang, I'd get my Incursus out and duel him.

Addendum to this: If a newbie in a frigate was unable to escape a BC/T3 gang being dropped on him, then a newbie in something bigger and slower would get caught and murdered even faster.

Rvb is Bella fun, but make mistake, it is not a training corp, you will be learning by doing, against other newbies and end game players alike, so have fun and lose lots of ships, that is a better way of.learning than training imo anyway.

Also it isn't all t1 frigates. A quick glance at this chars killboard for Rvb and you will.see I use t1 cruisers the most. Then again I am a special snowflake since sentry drones make up like 1/4 of my kills LOL.

It is fun, some times more than others but i enjoy it as much as low sec pvp.

RvB = most fun in eve.

It's basically unbridled mostly T1 pvp where people try and at least keep things slightly fair. Lots of organised fleet fights every night and tonnes of incidental pvp as there are always people moving / roaming / scouting / sat on gates etc.

When I get a full 3-5 hours of play in I can sometimes expect 25 kills a night, sometimes more. I used to roam low sec and null solo, it's almost impossible to find decent fights in comparison. You can roam 4-5 nights in a row without finding a single person willing to engage where you have a chance to actually kill them. You will be fighting entrenched locals with links, bookmarks, alts, reppers, etc (especially in low sec) that are often very risk averse and will only engage if they think they can gank you.

In RvB there are always people on gates or roaming or moving about near the HQ systems. (each side is based only 2 jumps from each other) so lots of opportunities for fights. Lots of noobs like you and actually lots of really good experienced pilots that can teach of FC fleets.

We often get bored 0.0er's joining thinking they're l33t because they've been in null but they actually can't fly their ships worth a damn. They normally bring out nice T2 stuff and it get exploded by a horde of rifters 15 minutes later.

It's not for everyone but in terms of the sheer amount of fighting / number of fights / ease of finding fights it can't be beat. I can log on an get into a fight in 5 minutes. Die, jump in a new ship and be in another fight 5 mins later. For me finding good fights was always the hardest thing so joining RvB has kept me playing long this time than any of my other Eve stints in the last 5-6 years.

Get a mic, once joined (normally takes less than 12 hours) join a fleet, you'll have been in 5 engagements by the end of the first night ;) We also have ship replacement programs for noobs, and a noobfleet channel where you can ask embarrassing questions.

If you're after acquiring pvp experience quickly and cheaply (and having loads of fun) then RvB is for you.

RVB also does low sec and null roams.. so you will get some good experience. i have bounced my PVP alt around LS and Null corps for a while now.. and I can tell you, the best fun I had was in RVB.. sov and all that politics is a pain in the b8&&.. and most good small roaming pvp corps are invitation only :(. Check out my eve, hydra have a daily roam going.. sounds fun, not in my TZ though.

Like many people have already said, RvB is high volume fun. You will get plenty of fights and see a good mix of new players and veterans alike.

As a good amount of the fighting does take place in T1 ships be prepared with a large amount of them fitted and ready to go at all times. As for only using T1 ships not even close. There are specific rules regarding ship types in the respective home base systems, and ECM mid slot modules being used against fellow RvB members, however outside of that many of us fly around in faction/T2 regularly. Just be prepared to lose anything you fly in like always in PVP.

Organized events, null/low roams and monthly ship events keep the shiny ship people happy as well.

Check out our KB and see what we have going on, you will be hard pressed to find a better EvE PvP environment in my opinion.

Lots of things already said so I will just add this:
PvP is a lot more fun if you don´t have to worry about paying for your next ship, so try to get a reliable stream of money to replace your losses. That´s what (trading, PI, missioning) alts are for.

Second, you are free to go to Jita as much as you like, however don´t lose your Pod there or you will have to pay a penalty of 500 Mil ISK; getting your Pod out is not that difficult and a useful skill for everyone anytime, however. Also, no one will prevent you from going to Lo-Sec on your own whenever you like.

Why does it have to be RvB? You don't need to be part of anything to pew pew.

Why don't you go into low sec in a cheap frigate and have some sight seeing? You never know what may happen.

IMO that's not a good idea. He'll just lose his ship and pod to pirates. I think most standard tech 1 frigates are junk. I for one don't like any of the gallente frigates. It's just one step above a rookie ship.

The Tristan is a great ship.

Low sec isn't that bad if you fly something that can align fast.

I'll say the same thing I told a guy in the newbie corp earlier. Take a stack of 100 rifters to low sec. When you run out move up to cruisers. Best way to learn PvP is to go do it.

I've killed a ferox in a T1 punisher. It's the pilot that's junk.

do both...I have a clone set up in RvB land and another in low-sec. Best of both worlds Lol

What some of the above have said is true...RvB is good, but doesn't teach you a lot of low-sec survival skills. Best way is to get out and roam around. I usually end up in a ball of fire and rifter wreckage but it's all good fun.
