I don't know what changed this time, mine are still exporting to the location I listed.

OK, in my SnowLeopard Library, I have only /Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/My Documents..

The only folder in there is My Video. The tree ends there

I exported a fit (somewhere) successfully, but Finder can't find it. In fact, Finder can't "find" the file I named Loki and placed in the old Preferences location

Any ideas?

Did you look here?

[your user name]/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/USER/My Documents/EVE/

This is where all of mine are going to now.

Mine doesn't have the User as a choice under the p_drive. Weird.

Edit: So I uninstalled EVE completely. A year ago I did not blow away the Preferences tree from the Library and upon reinstalling the game last week it created lots of weirdness. I blew away the app, the folder in Application Support, and the old Preferences folder. I restarted, did a fresh install, and Viola! It works.

To find this file, you need to set the finder to search system files. Snow Leopard here, but I assume it's similar on Lion -

1) Apple-F
2) Where it says "Kind is Any," click on "Kind" and choose the "Other..." option.
3) Scroll down to the "System files" attribute. Check "In Menu." Hit OK.
4) Now, from that same "Kind" drop-down menu, you should be able to choose "System files." Set it to "ARE included."
5) Search away! It will now find stuff in your library, which of course includes EVE's files.

Yeah, found it under

~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/User/My Documents/EVE/

I made an alias of that directory and put it in my documents directory so that I don't have to navigate that far down next time.

Well, that is the directory where it looks for the file when you EXPORT or IMPORT it. but what happens when you "SAVE" your overview settings.
I am quite sure it must be stored onto my harddisk, but not in a separate file. although you may name the ssaved configuration.

Another thing I leaned today:

If you go to the finder and click on the "Go" menu, you get a list of folders. If you then hold down the Option key, the folder "Library" shows in that list. Click on it and you got the library folder open where, under application support, the eve files are stored.
