evealopalous Keyloggers?

We've been having a major issue as of late in our main alliance/corporation where players are now logging in outside of their regular timezones and spamming links to this new "lottery" site. Browsing to the site with Avast Anti-virus active triggers a worm download alert and as such has caused us to put many corp mates into lock down so they no longer have roles/intel access in our alliance. CCP was mailed about this but has so far not replied to any questions to them

So just a heads up if you see this link in Jita/Amarr/Dodixie/Rens local, don't click it unless you have a very good anti-virus and are willing to risk the security of your account. Players will log in for approximately 5-10 seconds, spam ALL available player channels, corp, local, alliance and constellation then disconnect. Watch your corp mates log in patterns carefully and take note and mail CCP with the names of anyone whom is affected/involved with this.

I've been seeing those links for at least a week now in Jita local. If it is a keylogger, they found a great place to deploy it.

No one in their right mind would click a link that obviously is unkown or strange.

This would explain why I always have to block a new batch of these guys every time I enter jita.

Actually, clicking on it while ingame won't do anything.

The keylogger cannot bypass the Eve.exe and go install itself like this.

This would only happen if people have consulted the site with an outside brower.

I know a few people for whom the in-game browser is either totaly inoperable or painfully slow. So it isn't too unusual that some people would be opening the link out of game.

This is seriously doubt. CCP doesn't sanction "game/lottery" websites out of game for the most part. They never will either.

Any Eve-related site can apply to be a fan site. All you have to do is fill in a form and click send. There's some disclaimer stuff you need to have on your site but that's it. It doesn't mean CCP-sanctioned, it just means recognised fan site.

Hmm that would make sense looking at a user in my channel that rarely say anything, and suddenly joined and posted that link out of the blue when he usually would at least say hi and such...

If keylogger cases CCP could probably see reports go up during the same period I guess.

To be fair they offer a trickle down system on winnings. If people join via your ref link you get a % of winnings. So I think most the people spamming are just trying to grab isk.

That is just simple, those who complain here must be from similar site like Somer blink or eve risk or any other stuff, that is all :)
Just get back to ur own site since this one contains viruses so u should not enter : )
