you can also use the buddy system to have a free 45 day account for training up an alt without the limits of the trial restrictions.

What you do is send a buddy invite to yourself. use it to start a new account. use a PLEX to activate new account. and your original accounts gets a free PLEX for the buddy account activation. basically you get a 21 day trial plus 30 day paid with PLEX so 51 days actually of a free paid account.

CCP allows this on the basis that most players who try it end up getting so used to the extra account by the end of the 51 days that they end up keeping the account. But if you want to train up some PI or research alts without losing training time on you main you can do this. and at the end before the new account expires pay $10 and get the character transferred to your main account. You end up with a alt with 50 ish days training for only $10 and do not lose the 50 days training time on your main.

I have done this twice but both times ended up keeping the accounts active. Now I am up to 4 active accounts. I am thinking of doing it again but not sure if I can resist the urge to train up and keep active another hulk account. Especially now that mining is so much more profitable than it was.

With regard to your question, If your buddy did activate you should get your PLEX by the next downtime at the latest. If not file a petition.
