dipping fingers into DED complexes

As thats what I intend to do, I would like some answers beforehand.
How do I know, which of the 1-2/10 static Complexes potentialy give out factiongear, as I have heard, that some dont have any chance to drop that kind of loot?
How far can I go with an ishkur, I guess 3/10 is the most I could handle with that ship?
Up to what rating are they located in highsec?
Are ships with cloaks cappable of doing the harder sites in lowsec? Which ones would you suggest?

All pirate DED sites have a chance of dropping faction (True Sansha*, Dread Gurista*) and deadspace (Pith* C-type*, Corp* B-type*, etc.) modules, as well as pirate ship BPCs.

Highsec: DED 1/10 to 4/10
Lowsec: DED 4/10 to 6/10 (with some static 1/ and 2/10s)
Nullsec: DED 6/10 to 10/10

Ishkur can do 3/10 with ease, as well as 4/10, but it probably won't do this fast (i.e. someone else will enter the site while you're busy and finish it before you and get the loot).

There are some cloaky ships that can tank the lowsec DED sites but I don't think any of them have enough DPS to finish the sites in a reasonable amount of time.

Are there any non pirate DED sites then? I remember reding, that some sites dont drop any faction/deadspace loot. Unluckily, I dont remember where that statement was found.
If the lowsec sites are above cloaky abilities, is it possible to do them with a full/splitt pvp fitting?
Thanks in regards.

just avoid drone deds.

I think angel 4/10 would be fun in a risk of lossmail kind of way in an ishkur. I've done serp/gurista 3 and 4 (on islands where I tend ed to get left alone longer) with an ishkur, can't see why blood 3 or 4 would be hard - straight forward to kite. As St Mio says though, many people will enter and steal your cheese.

You can slap a cloak on some ships and still have them be fully combat capable (Ishtar and Gila come to mind). You just can't get a Covops cloak on there.

As far as running sites in PvP fit ships... sort of. It wouldn't end up being optimal, but I imagine you could do it. But you're looking at higher end PvP ships in the first place (HACs, T3s) and at that point you might as well just set up a dual fit T3 (carrying your combat fit, traveling in your cloaky scanning fit).

One thing to recall, though, is that low sec isn't actually all that ridiculously dangerous. Yes, you'll lose a ship here and there, but if you're careful you should be able to run 4/10s in low with a BC without too much trouble and possibly blitz 5/10s.

Maybe you are thinking of unrated complexes, which don't drop deadspace stuff per se, but can escalate to an expedition on which endpoint there is a chance of deadspace modules. Add to that the chance of faction spawns, which might have faction stuff/implants.

Sometimes happens that someone else comes into the complex you are running and will see about driving you out/killing you. Mostly involves pvp fit t3s and depending on what complex/how much is finished they usually won't hesitate to finish it for you (and link the most expensive and sometimes wrong item in local later on). Or their gang comes in that has been waiting one system away.

Just as addition to Zhilia.

The most dangerous parts of lowsec and nullsec are the borderlines, for nullsec is much more dangerous. As soon as you enter nullsec from hi or low there are many many anti warp bubbles and crowds of gatecampers that hope for one fool who isnt aware.

If you plan to travel there simply use one of those travelling corps offering safespots at the border lines with safespots outside of gate grids (gridfu safe spot). Then the gate bubbles cant harm you at all. But have a ship that is pretty fast or simply covert ops vessels.

Lowsec is relatively safe except systems at the hisec border especially when stations are very close. Deeper in lowsec you will be mostly very lonely since pirates consider it not worth the time to hunt those players there. Simply have safespots in the system u fly around and cloak there - then they cant harm you.

I recommend to become a pro in avoiding pirates. Not that hard to learn.
