What the Idiot is doing is forcing CCP's hand to decide where this game is going to be in 2 years. Unfortunately, this tactic is so anti-thetical to ANY business model, that CCP WILL step in and adjust things at somepoint if this is indeed carried out.

And that is not 'paranoid carebear thinking'. THAT is business reality. The Idiot forgets that EVE is not a toy to CCP.

As for the Death Squad, I think using neutral alts as part of the group is pretty ball-less. You want to put fear into people with a squad, but then you're going to hide behind neutral alts like you claim others do? The message seems to be that you're no better than any other high sec griefer wardec corp.

If I'm not mistaken, everyone who is in the Death Squad will be part of the CFC - not neutral characters. They seem to be forming it as one of the possible divisions their members can be part of, and actually specifically mentioned that they did not want to make it a separate entity (the Q&A after the most recent State of the Goonian iirc).

This only has a tenuous relation to your post, but is it not interesting how these groups, once the fervor and behavior hits a certain point, it all starts becoming a really weird COMEDY ??? The mad scramble for attention is almost hilarious in it's pathetic wallow.

I can just see the Forum threads in a week "OK, so Who's Mouth is Still Taped Shut?" Roll

I'm pretty sure that this specific set of plans is just attention whoring, but actually wanting to bring pain upon those who caused problems for the CFC in some way. Either way I support their plans to put the hurt on quit a number of people, just for kicks. In fact, we'll be dec'ing The Honda Accord for the fun of it.

Sounds like neutral characters to me.

the liquidation of enemies of the state is a time-honored tradition amongst evil regimes throughout history, so why should it be any different with the bona fide 'villains of eve'?

i agree an mmo where people are allowed to scam and grief each other is just ridiculous no-one will want to play and they want to put all the players on one server too this is never going to work and i am very disappointed because otherwise it could be a good space game and even further

Your previous post implied they would do the ganking with neutrals. They simply stated they'll be using neutral scouts so their targets don't get a heads up before they strike. Using this tactic is called, "not being a complete idiot."

As per 'the king of space':

"I am delighted to have found a leader for the Death Ѕquad project; Warr Akini of Bat Country. Warr recently diѕtinguished himself by leading a small team of Bat Country commandos in ganking 1000 exhumers in a week just to prove that they could. Warr is not just ‘some guy’ – he is a proven leader with a focus on hisec griefing. He and I have been conferring extensively and this new ЅIG is ready to be rolled out in the coming days.

The purpose of the Death Squad is to hunt down and punish every bleating pubbie who has felt that they could hide behind Concord and speak out against us without fear. In nullsec we have fought wars of extermination over seemingly innocuous offenses (such as Tetsujin’s sig)‚ yet human garbage lіke Jade Constantine and Issler Dainze reside securely, squatting in their empire shitholes, squawking about Goonswarm with no risk. No more.

The Death Ѕquad will sow terror among those who think themselves safe from us. Bounties will be paid for the killmails of our enemies; they will be hunted down with locator agents, scouted out by neutral characters, and purged. Extra bounties will be rewarded for those commandos who bring us particularly entertaining logs. The sort of wretch who the Death Ѕquad will be unleaѕhed upon is likely to produce a ~lot~ of chatporn when they finally get what they deserve.

When not hunting the enemies of the Ѕtate‚ the Death Squad wіll keep its skills sharp by ganking mission runners in deadspace Tengus, blowing up exhumers, and ensuring that our reach is inescapable, even in the ‘safest’ parts of EVE. "

Talk about forcing CCP's hand to step in and nerf the game. Congratulations Alexander. You have just killed EVE

A very moving and impressive attempt to project fear and dread Sir.
I am sure you will be resolute in flowing through with it...Granted you are not afforded access to a non latex or digital vagina in the interim. Blink

Or the Goons, it will be interesting to see who wins this power struggle, CCP or the Goons.

Might be worth me reading the forums still on occassions.

I call it "hiding behind the same game mechanics of every other high sec griefer wardec corp". You're the death squad of the goons, given the task of driving fear into people by your mere presence, but not willing for people to see that presence until you're assured of a kill. Seems then that you're more worried about collecting the bounty and ship reimbursement than you are about making a point with your actions.
If i was the leader of a death squad trying to drive fear into people, i think seeing entire alliances camping in a station does that far more effectively then posting a killmail of yet another exhumer alpha'd. If i'm just a griefer with a lot of pals fapping about killmails, then yeah, using neutral characters to scout easy kills would be a great tactic.

Curiously though, how many flashy reds are going to be in Jita?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

For the people whining about them using neutral alts to track down dissenters, do you think that every evil regime in the past hasn't used non-aligned informants for intelligence on the whereabouts of the dissenters?, in recent history every evil regime has relied on family, neighbours or just plain picking up people off the street and interrogating them for information.

It's the way that evil regimes do their dirty work, they turn the populace against each other so that nobody trusts anybody.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
