No matter what I did, I've never managed to aggro more than one group at a time in room three, unless I did it intentionally.
If you can't tank 4 or 5 ships at one time, you better go back to Lvl3s until you can. Ugh

In a rattler you can do it with kinetic only hardeners (vs. guristas).

I'm sort of wondering if I'm mistaking the 3rd pocket for where the heron is, because that's honestly not that hard of a room with a good Guristas specific tank.

Maybe we should approach this from a different direction... Please post your fit. I know this was mentioned earlier but are you using T2 sentries or T2 heavies. You really should be fine with either, just takes heavies a little longer to get to the target

1. DPS on the rattler is going to come from your drones. Which is why a lot of players do not bother fitting BCS's.

2. Just my personal experience these ships handles the mission very well SNI, Tengu does well on this mission. Maybe a dual n Ishtar, but I haven't tried that one yet.

3. tbh I would have thought that the second room would be the one that you would have to be concerned about.

Yes, that's the room with the mission objective

Where I mission I don't get Sansha but Guristas Rats. Take on every Group one by one and you can use a Drake (takes ages, but works). A Domi can tank it easily with one single rep. The ships are burning away from you so even the BS sized weapons hit very good (Rails + Sentries).

Another thing:

Use a cheap Deadspace Armor Repairer or Shieldbooster with T2 hardeners, before starting to pimp your ship in any other way. Even a Domi with a B-Type or A-Type Core Armor Rep and T2 Hardeners, will tank every Mission easily. No Need to gimp your fitting and use 2x T2 reps.
An efficient repair system is the key to have a nice Tank/ DPS- ratio, even if you use a T1 hull.

Since I only can fly Caldari, Minmatar and Gallente I didn't try the Amarr BS, but I guess there's no difference.

CNR does fine on the 3rd room full aggro just orbit and you'll be fine primary cruisers/bc's and let drones eat up the frigs (Sansha/Angel WC) kill the BS's last.

I don't always bring out my Absolution.

But when I do it makes the Blue's rage, lol.

World's Collide is one of my favorite missions.

I've tried these ships with these results.

BEST > Nighthawk = Tanks Every room; Even Gurista's (Active Omni-setup with 4 x Ballistic)
2nd Best > Tengu = Similar setup with 3X Ballistic (just stay out of Garista's room.
3rd Best > Drake Passive: but takes forever...... don't do this anymore or use with two ship setups.

Dual Ships for 2 accounts.

1st in Drake Passive = Takes all Aggro.
2nd in HIGH DPS Fit any ship = Kills Everything.

The only room that's a worry is Gurista's as they Warp Scram, Web and Target Scram ... so if you plan to do that room for kicks, drones are a must. So I never do that room unless I have them in the mix.

Was reading the EVE Survival of it and it says "Having the lead ship tank the entire pocket is extremely difficult, as it can put down 1300-1500 dps, in a wide variety of configurations. Here are some (extreme) examples:"

I mistakenly thought that meant every time you run it not if you screw up royally and accidentally aggro the whole room. I havent BEEN in a WC lvl 4 in 3 forevers lol

actually, there is a small chance that the acceleration gate will throw you in the middle of the 3rd room leading to aggro of the entire room. I've almost lost a few ships this way with around 5% structure left

Dont mean to derail the thread,OP. I would like to know,in Eve survival is the 1300-1500 DPS without taking into account resistances? Or does it take some specific number as default.

I got World's Collide lvl 4 and I read in eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=WorldsCollide4ansa that pocket 3 pushes 1300-1500 dps. Shocked

What tanks that? What fir for my ship or what ship am I looking for TO tank that?

I have yet to receive World's Collide myself. I have run the mission a few times with much stronger players who were able to easily tank the mission while a few of us others flew around and blew up all the little fish. I believe that the main player was flying a Golum.

I run these in my Rattlesnake with 120K EHP active shield repper - my cap dies in 6 mins - my standard L4 solo fit. Yes it can be uncomfortable, but the answer is to kill the NPCs fast enough. Lock on ASAP and start shooting. Take out BSs first cuz they will break your tank if you don't. Manage drone aggro as needed. My shield will alarm, but I never have to run.

I have dual Omnidirectional Tracking links, dual drone link augmentors, three Caldari Ballistic controllers, and 4@T2 Torpedo Launchers using T1 torps, and dual target painters. Using Gardes + Torps + painters BS's go down fast. Max skills for shields, missiles, drones and painters is strongly recommended. T2 torp launchers really help too, but meta 4 is fine. My torps hit for sure at 44km and miss sometime up to 50K, which is out of range. If I used T2 torps, I could hit up to 50K too.

Once you do this several times, you know that actually have a very good margin for error.

If I have time tonight I'll post my loadout (I'm at work - shhh!)

I love the Nighthawk for this mission. I used to use the Rattlesnake but its dps I found lacking and its a rather boring ship, good for lvl 5s though. For me though the Nighthawk reigns supreme for lvl 4s for enjoyment.
