just got ammo and drone drop from a BS in WC, so not all T1 stuff has been nerfed ? Cry

From patch notes:

Meta 0 modules in NPC loot tables have been replaced with Metal Scraps.

yeah guess I didnt pick up on the word modules

why though, why oh why are drones and ammo still in, thats seems unfair to owners of the respective BPOs :)

The minerals from it are still nerfed. Went from NEEDING a hauler for the scraps of my mission loot, to being able to fit it in the cargo of the damn mission ship.

I think they just considered ammo/drone/charges to be something that a missioner/ratter could use, since they are a consumable per se. My guess anyhow.

They don't reprocess into much in terms of ore. Since the goal was to making mining the primary source of ore, they was no real need to remove things that didn't affect that.

I don't know about anyone else, but I swear to god my meta drop rate has gone through the roof for me.

I did notice that I didn't get a single cap booster drop in my gone berserk mission and those aren't meta 0 modules. I didn't run many missions today so I wonder if those are gone too.

Confirmed that they are not gone, but I got WAY fewer from my L4 Gone Berserk than usual. WAY less.

I have to agree. Running a few missions today led to me replacing most of the modules in my crappy battlecruiser with meta 3-4 versions. Definitely I've been bringing home more meta modules than metal scraps, and I'm sure I never used to get more meta 1-4 than meta 0.

let's say you kill 5 rats and all of them drop.... a missile launcher for the sake of the example.

pre patch this happens;
first rat gives you a regular missile launcher I, meta 0
second gives you a meta 1 launcher
thrid gives you a meta 2 launcher
fourth rat gives you a meta 3 launcher
the final rat gives you a meta 4 launcher.

post patch;
first rat gives you metal scraps
second gives you a meta 1 launcher
thrid gives you a meta 2 launcher
fourth rat gives you a meta 3 launcher
the final rat gives you a meta 4 launcher.

over all you're not getting any more of a specific launcher, however of the launchers you have obtained pre patch 20% of the launchers you got were meta x, where as after the patch it was 25% of the launchers. the proportion of modules of a given meta has gone up.
however; the amount of launchers of a given meta level is the same, you still got 1 pre patch and 1 post patch.
tl;dr - a higher proportion of modules obtained from rats will be of a given meta level, but the amount of modules you obtain is the same. it's the increase in proportion that you're noticing.

this, of course, assumes nothing has been done to drop rates and meta 0 loot has just been repaced with scraps.
