Eve will not launch after splash screen appears.

I had issues downloading the Inferno update so I used the repair tool. After downloading I have restarted my computer and now the launcher will load up, I hit play, the splash screen appears for about 20 seconds then it goes away and nothing.

I don't know if I am the only one, maybe I am, but I have issues EVERY SINGLE TIME I download an update with EVE. I have never once had a smooth update install where I just installed it and I could play. I'm getting sick of it, I just wanna log on and not have issues for once....

Same here, trying to run repair tool for 2nd time... What?

EDIT: Run repair tool as administrator, the error will still occur at the end of rapairing, but the GAME RUNS YAYTwisted

After running repair 3 times I finally got it to work. Good luck.

Same issue. Repair Tool doesn't work since "The launcher does everything now" for Mac.

Including break your Eve Install completely on updating. Just like the old patch system...

I was able to apply the patch and log in this morning. This afternoon I get the splash screen then nothing...

Solved:

From some other thread (i've read a dozen)...
If you are getting verification errors upon starting the client after patching please try this workaround:

• To force the launcher to re-patch your client you can browse into the client (Show Package Contents) to EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/CCP/EVE and delete a file called common.ini before restarting the client again

They actually mean to show package contents on the Eve Online.app you find when you Show Package Contents and then browse to Eve Online.app/Contents/Resources/Eve Online.app.

This reapplied the patch and then I was able to get it to run by executing the Eve Online.app/Contents/Resources/Eve Online.app

But the launcher still results in nothing happening...
