I see you have never been on another forum.

Any forum can deal with the stress of a bunch of images. I've even seen threads sporting several 1080p videos on autoplay, and this was a website using a 2008 server.

Make the compact view of the forums turn off all the pictures for the boring people and let the rest have their pictures aready. Evil

I like Tippias HTTPS proposal, I always thought it was in consideration for bandwidth of people with less than wonderful ISP's.

But it never occured to me how offensive we Could get with pictures.

What about tables. It makes no sense at all that we have a spreadsheet game and can't use table to explain costs or stats.

I wonder why the https/SSL "situation" also affected colors. I could have live a few less smileys but colors? I think most browsers can handle that...

EDIT:
At least give us a monospace font to make some ASCII art.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

I can't believe, in all seriousness with this crowd, anyone would ask why no images. Besides the avalanche of lewd and lacivious, the great weight of bandwidth burden when everyone and their cousins post an image of their favorite car, dog...and believe me my dog would figure prominently, would make the servers groan in pain. It's the ONE policy I'm amazed CCP managed to get right on this forum.

Now, if they'd just learn the rudiments of forums on the internet, we may have something to work with.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
