Bought a PS3 for Dust, what other games are on this thang?

Before you laugh, it was at a great price, has no defects etc. I pretty much only use my 360 for netflix, so it will essentially pay for itself by allowing me to not have to pay for XBL, so even if Dust blows...heh.

Anyways, I'm excited about the game, but now I'm genuinely impressed by this machine. The UI feels very clean, and I am holding a controller I fondly remember from PS2...so now I'm wanting to play some other games on it. I just picked up Red Dead Redemption and Little Big Planet, with God of War collection and GoW 3 eventually on the list...but besides those, what good, exclusive titles are there? Further, what games play better on PS3 than XBox.

Thanks in advance for the input.

GoW titles are boring and repetitive, but they have nice eye candy. Red Dead Redemption is fookin' amazing...be sure to get the zombie one too. The Resistance series is pretty good, and the Uncharted series is fantastic. Of course you have Skyrim and BF3, but those are on all consoles and PC.

I got a used PS3 from a friend who hardly ever used his specifically for Dust as well, and I have to say that I've been extremely impressed with it. I like it much better than the 360, which I've tried but hated.

god of war, uncharted, red dead redemption, avoid skyrim and mw games on ps3 since they are broken on that machine, you also got some nice arcade games, some amazing racing games and ehm that's about it. It is also a bluray player....

hmm... RPG's... PS3 library is more jRPG than Xbox. If you're into that, heard that Valkyria chronicles is a very good tactical rpg

I'm a big fan of action-adventure/platformers, which the PS3 has in spades:

Ratchet and Clank
inFamous
3D Dot Game Heroes
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection
Sly Cooper Collection
Jak and Daxter Collection

The PS3 d-pad is ideal for fighting games, especially the more technical ones like King of Fighters or BlazBlue.

Uncharted (all of them), kill zone resistance. I could only stand so much MGS...and then it got way really uber Japanese and mellow dramatic. If the witcher 2 comes out on it i'd recommend that to if you dont have it on PC already.

Bayonetta is so hilariously over the top it's awesome.

God of War has been mentioned before, with good reason. GoW 3 is just <3

Gran Turismo 5 is pretty good, but only if you're into cars rather than racing. Wouldn't recommend it to a casual racing fan.

SSX - Only played the demo so far but i can't wait to get the full game.

Enslaved and Heavenly Sword are pretty interesting, especially if you can get them cheap. Story heavy games.

Heavy Rain is also a contender if you're into the interactive movie thing.

Split Second and Pure are awesometastic racing games. Promoting these because Disney closed their developer for no good reason >_>

Infamous 1 and 2 are actually pretty decent sandboxy games. I went in expecting to hate it but after i got Infamous from that account/thing/deal last year i was very positively surprised, it's a good game. Calling down lightning never gets old <3

Tekken 6. Nuff said.

Uncharted games, GT5, NFS Shift, to name a few.

Red dead redemption, the best game of 2010 on any platform.

If SSX is anything as good as it was on PS2, it's probs worth getting a PS3 for that alone.

I'd recommend only byuing exclusives though, most any other game is gonna me miles better on PC

There should be a rather awesome pic here

There's always Fat Princess, and Demon Souls. Both on PS3 and I think only on PS3.

I don't even own a PS3 (yet)... but I still had to own a copy of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus HD remakes.

just in case they'll be hard to come by when I *do* eventually buy myself a PS3.
of course... I still have both of them for the PS2, anyway... but, then again they are works of art.

I'm all about Gran Turismo 5. With the 'Driving Force' GT Racing Wheel it's amazing.

Every other game i've bought for it got boring in a week or two. So i've stopped buying new ones, and just play GT5.
