Short question, is remote reverse engineering possible? Means can u keep the artifact at a station or some other structure and start jobs remotely using the "scientific network" skill?

I also just noticed that if u don't have station/office in the system i cant see my artefact's that are at the lab? I also tried to add a corp hangar to my POS, but i still cant remotely select any artifact? So this means u have to fly to the POS for every RE job?

So any hints?

I tried to find a answer myself, but most answers just state the fact that u can ME/PE/Invent using a office in the same solarsystem. They also state that the BPC has to be in the corp hangar or the lab itself, but in my case i have the relict in the lab and still cant see/pick it if i'm not directly at the lab. I only see my other BPC from the corp hangar, but not the relics inside the lab, only if i move to the lab locally i can select the relict.

This seem to indicate that u cant remotely start RE jobs, since if normally scientific networking works also if u have the BPC locally than i don't see why it would not work for RE?

If no one can answer this i guess i have to setup a other test POS and see what happens in a system where i have a office.

Yes, you can start reverse engineering jobs with "artifact" being in corporation office in station. Works exactly like invention and all the other science/industry jobs.

Oki so u also cant remotely start a BPC jobs if the BPC is in the lab? So the skill only works from a office? This part kinda confuses me, since it seems illogical to me that i can remotely start a BPC laying at a station hangar, but not a BPC directly laying at the lab.

Just to be more precise how u start a remote RE job, if there is no NPC station in the system? I assumed placing the relict at the lab or in a corp hangar array at the POS would work, but the relic was not listed if i try to start a RE job remotely?

This is quite confusing, since all guides i read basically state: "Bpo and lab MUST be in same solar system, either at pos itself or npc station. If in npc station. it need to be in an corp hanger.". This did not work for me, so is this some kind of bug or access management problem?

BPO or BPC or artifact must be in a station in a corp office division.

Materials must always be in the array.

If there is no station, then you have to go to the POS, and everything must be in the array.

I think the reason is that currently the contents of an array are not available remotely.

My understanding is that it is not so much that you can not start the job remotely, but only that you have no way of viewing the contents of the lab remotely to select them. even viewing corp assets through the corp window, items in the lab will not show up.
I have never tried this myself but I have been frustrated looking for items I knew I had but would not show up in corp assets as they were stored in a POS.

yes seems there is no way around this problem, even if it is kinda illogical considering that u can install a corp hangar at a POS, which should work exactly the same as a office hangar, but in fact does not. Even more logical would be the fact that u should ofc be able to start a job, if all materials/bpc are actually located at the lab itself. Seems this is some technical limitation of the remote asset list.
