Incursions post escalation

So, could somebody tell me how hard the incursions nerf is reading this from the patch notes:

-NPCs have been grouped into waves and groups have been randomized; this will prevent blitzing and increase the random element within the sites.
-Spawn triggers moved from individual NPCs to the group as a whole.
-Lowered the rewards from Vanguard sites by 10%.

I've never really tried incursions but I was planning on using a tengu for missions and converting my nightmare to an incursion blitzing ship. However, seeing number two about the triggers moving to the group as a whole, it seems to me it's a pretty hard nerf. Does this like, halve your income doing incursions? Or is it a small change and is it still a very good idea to go run incursions and using a dedicated ship for it.

As far as site completion time goes, for vanguards, it'll make one site in particular a lot longer (override transfer array), but the other two shouldn't change a lot by comparison since you already have to kill just about everything anyway.

So basically, legion fleets still kick ass, mach/nm OTA fleets get slowed down quite a bit, kitchen sink fleets continue a slower-but-steady pace on any site.

Ok, and how would meta 4 tachyons be on my nightmare? Is it frowned upon or can you get into decent fleets with them? Should I buy faction? (not planning to spend more than a month training for 10% dps with just lasers)

Use Megapulse. The tracking and DPS advantages are huge in an incursion.

Isn't the range a problem then? Because with meta 4 you don't have scorch...
