Are you talking about faction standing, corp standing, or security status?

Either way....nothing happens. You can't even get above +5 sec status.

Nothing happens.
You have lower broker's fees than 9.90....
And satisfaction, because a displayed 10.0 standing is a very very long trip.

You may receive a blueprint copy for 2 of that factions battleships. EG Gallente = 2 run Navy Megathron bpc.

Before you get to 10.00 you can collect bpc for frigate and cruisers on the way.

Check out the cosmos agent sites for exact references. Apologies but on a lunch break at work and unable to link.

Ive seen some players with sec status above 5.0. How is this achievable? Have i even spelt achievable correctly??

Nowadays, there are 2 "one time only" missions which will award you with a bonus that can take you over 5.0.

The other possibility: Having an old character being around since the days when sec-status was ranging up to +10.0 and which had sec-status over 5.0 when it got patched. And unless they did something illegal, the status should be the same still.

Not necessarily correct. If you have been careful with you mission choice your derived negative standings hit a floor (-5 IIRC). With Diplomacy trained up opposing faction space is accessible without (NPC) interference.

Like someone posted, get your security status to 5.0, then there are a few (I thought a series of 4) COSMOS missions that will raise your security status above 5.0. I thought it was four cause it would get you to the +10, but like they said as well..one time only missions so if you lose the security after you gained it then it's gone.

This. Each faction has 3 high end COSMOS missions which are essentially turn-in/trade missions. You give 30 of X faction-appropriate pirate tags (Caldari = Guristas). In exchange, you get a 2-run BPC of a faction Frigate, Cruiser and BS.

For Caldari, it's as thus:

8.22 Standing: 30 silver tags = Caldari Navy Hookbill BPC2
9.20 Standing: 30 gold tags = Caracal Navy Issue BPC2
9.90 Standing: 30 diamong tags = Raven Navy Issue BPC2

Yup. That's your reward. Along the way you get the ability to anchor towers in higher and higher sec space and access to epic arcs, but that's it.

Oh, and this may be trivial, but you can't mathematically hit 10.00. You can infinitely approach it until it displays as 10.00, but that's about it. And recall: it takes as long to go from 0 to 9 as it does from 9 to 9.9 as it does from 9.9 to 9.99. And that's assuming you don't do anything to muck it up in the meantime.

That list/wiki-entry is slightly off. The differences are that you need 8.5 faction standing for the frig BPC and that skills do count.

You can get above +5 standing if you kill other rats than mission rats :)

Killing officer rats takes you above +5.0 apparently. Wouldn't know from experience as I've never killed one.

Downtime happens than the server will reboot and everyone will get a long, pirates will quite pirating. Scammers will quit scamming and CCP will stop the HTFU strategy and we will all hold hands and sing kumbaya. So the end of the world as we know it.

But chances are you give up before that happens so were good. It takes too freaking long to grind up your faction standing.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.
