These modules without T2 variants

I have just looted a "Alpha reactor shield power relay".
The graph shows me that it sells on average one a month.

Parsing the market I saw that exists many of these modules without T2 variants and no market activity.

Are there some lost modules from the past?
Or are there so weird that no one uses them?

In both cases what is the point of keeping them?

You point the classical variants.

I spoke of the other variants:

Alpha reactor shield power relay
Basic shield power relay
Marked generator refitting: shield power relay
Partial Power Plant: shield power relay
Type E Power Core Modification: shield power relay

All of these have no meta level and give 10% shield bonus againt -20% recharge capacitor.
And all of these items have no market activity.

You have the same set with "Capacitor Power relay" instead of shield.

they offer no benefit over using the t2.

Your better selling named gear usually has traits that make fitting them over t2 viable. Classic example are named ecms mods. Same jam stats, less activation energy needed.

named SPR doesn't have this going for it really.

CPR's....Even t2 gets no love here as you don't see this often on popular pve or pvp fits, ithe need for why it exists is bypassable in many ways. rigs, mod pulsing, cap mod....lots of ways to keep the juice flowing. Or you realize a tank that runs 15 minutes is almost as good as permarun and find a better mod to run.

Why keep em? Some might actually use them. I have a cpr fit ship somewhere....jsut to be different. You also have to realize named gear has its place in invention. named gear gives higher chance of success. I personally hav used "junk" named gear in invents to squeeze out a few poins towrads a hit. Also exist as loot melt downs for mats. Not a good seller, I didn't pay for it...I ain't greedy. A few more trit to the pile is a few ore trit. Adds up over time.

Meta 4 Shield Power Relays (Beta Reactor Control: Shield Power Relay) are better than T2 since they require less CPU.

true but when you start stackinng them you get a cpu problem anyway not WU 4/5. To fix ithat energy grid upgrade 4 (5 if motivated). You got that 4 ...may as well run the t2. More available and cheapers parts location depending.


EGU also the lower hanging fruit train imo. Gets your better pdu fitting as well. 2 birds one stone unliike WU 4. Guessing from op's question....not the only who did/does this route lol.

They are rarely used. Their benefit is below the normal T1 variant.

do you mean the ones that dont say "i" at the end?

if so, then theyre legacy modules from before they normalized the naming conventions. there's no activity because there havent been any dropped in years.

and never will be any more.
