If you blow it's ship, the bot will continue to mine... well sort of, but you can be fairly sure that a pod warping back and forth from station to belt, isn't a dumb player.

Anything else can't be proving anything, if the guy decided not to answer local, refuses convos, doesn't prove it's a bot, just proves some asocial people pay a monthly sub to play with rocks alone, building their own micro-corp orca boosted mining fleet and feel satisfied making **** ISK in highsec, but then, it's enough motivation for some people to get a KM.

Also, while pretending to hunt bots, some destroyers... well... destroy *coughs* exhumers. It's the game... one can argue whether it's skillful or not to pack enough in a volley to alpha those boats, but "heh... just checked if you were a bot" P

If pilot after someone ganked his Hulk starts emo raging / smack talking in local, definitely NOT a bot.

Pretty sure you could script that

10 if ship splody goto 30
20 goto 10
30 print "why you pew my ship"
40 print "***"
50 print "pay me for new ship or I'll petition you"
60 goto 10

Id like to bring up a bot that this thread hasnt given alot of attention too.

Ratting bots. As a merc it makes my job hell.

Ratting bots are auto set to rat in an area or at an anamoly untill anyone that isnt blue or just anyone depending on the bot I guess jumps into system. Then they automatically warp back to a pos or dock up untill the unkown leaves system.

In real life a person ratting if they saw a neut in system would probably just start wailing on there dscan. I dont know maybe if they dont mind stop starting the ratting all the time they would warp off. But not everyone would do that.

Ive been through parts of null sec where for 8 jumps in a row the moment a scout enters the system any one thats on dscan is at a poss with in thirty seconds. Its rediculous.

Its null sec risk vs reward. You want the reward you have to take the risk I might catch you...Twisted

Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.com I Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers.

scan anoms, drop bubbles at the warp ins, leave system, return

or

Drop bubbles on the belt warp ins, leave system, return

It's really not that hard to catch them :)

need to give them bots enough time to warp back Twisted

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
