- Double the amount of minerals you get from refining ore.

Everyone will be happy beyond comprehension. And there will be peace in the valley.

But the minerals that they mine, are free. Multiplying free with two gives.........?

... So many minerals that nobody knows what to do. In short there are so much minerals around that its close to worthless.

Then... The Problem is solved.

I bet that there will be many tears, and the price of minerals will be back to what i was in one year. It will go
down 30-40% if any CCP just hits at this. All the stacks of minerals will go to "Waste"

hehe, even here the rage will go high... I quit post of the injustice of the worthless stacks of minerals many
of the "bingo" players have here.

- So, its that easy... Do It CCP !

Try to figure it out with your limited brain. If you cant because your intuition and logical reasoning is that of a ******,
then ask your dad or your guardian.

No, that's one of the worst things that could be done. The monetary inflation exists because shooting rats, for far too long, has paid more relative wealth than most other activities.

Core prices, minerals, decreased while the supply of ISK increased, now that CCP has finally decided to stop back dooring one of the root activities of Eve, mining, all that money is rushing into the mineral markets.

Had the over supply of ISK and minerals not been allowed to happen in the first place, this situation would not exist. Players are returning to the belts, gearing up for T1 module production, making reevaluations on their path in Eve.

To suddenly turn around and double the production of minerals just pushes players back to the ISK faucets.

The best thing to do for the next six months is let the inflation run its course and see where things are. Chicken with no head mode is not a solution.

Incursion and the rats was the start of the problem. or not.

- But, the real problem is when mineral prices is 3x what is was for under 6 weeks ago.
NB everything else in EVE is at the same level: Plex, Ice, faction stuff. +++

So... The Only problem is the mineral prices and its so easy to fix. CCP has to do something.
The problem is even worse with T1 production.

But, lets just do it like they do it with the ICE belts then, make them so huge that they never "pops"

It's really not a problem. An upward correction in mineral prices has been overdue for years.

Nha... Not when CCP has set a standard, a goal of :

Trit: 1 Isk
Pye 4 Isk
++++

Its impossible to have mineral prices at this level for a healthy economy in EVE. The more expensive a ship gets the
more "boring" this game gets for new players, pvp.

And to believe for sec that this game will be played by the next generation of MMO players who needs instant gratification, to put them in front of a rock. No.....

And BTW, the problem is that so many are stacking minerals, its not the lack of minerals. My bet is that eve use less minerals now than for 6 weeks ago. This is just a huge speculation, and CCP, if they have any guts can make the marked crash within few seconds.

well, that certainly isn't the case with trit. when i checked a few days ago it was double what it was about 6 months ago. if other minerals are increasing by 20% per week (which is about 2.6% per day), then mineral yield needs balancing rather than a flat out doubling of all minerals.

3 times? So you'd be willing to buy my mexallon for the low, low price of 150 isk p/u (mexallon was 50 isk p/u 6 weeks ago)

The mineral basket (term coined by akita T iirc) has only gone up by about 20-25% from what I've seen. Once insurance rates catch up it won't be so bad.

When I started the game at the end of 2008, rookie chat's ISD promptly suggested me to go mine Roll

I recall Trit was about 4.4+ or so, therefore the increase has not been unreasonable given the ISK inflation and bots reduction.

perhaps your next suggestion is going to be to cut the mineral supply from rocks in half?

I already mentioned this in another thread twice i think but here it goes again.

If existing PVPers have to scale down, so f.i. fly bcruisers instead of BS, this lowers the barrier for newer players to compete.

Also, 0.0 will simply need more miners which gives an opportunity for miners to be recruited by alliances increasing the interaction between hi-0.0.

And ofcourse mining is finally getting a viable profession (again) which will hopefully motivate new players beyond the retention mark of doom (=average months playing)

So, this all is good for new players.

Inflation is a money supply problem, and has nothing to do with the recent mineral business. Adding more minerals won't help it at all, as others have said. Rather, what really needs to happen is there needs to be less ISK being "created" by ratting, missions, and other fun things like that. If there is less money in those activities, more players will turn to other methods of ISK-making, such as mining/manufacturing. When they do that, the increase of items (supply) will result in general pricedrops for those goods.

So yeah... nerf missions and bounties. Good god are my corp mates going to try to cruicify me if they see this post. XD

trying to push people to mine is as bad as trying to push them into pvp, missioning, incursions, or whatever else. if missioners all of a sudden can no longer plex their account doing mssions, they won't just switch to mining, they'll switch to another game.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
