I guess eve posters could decipher your posts alright

wonder how long till the trolls jump in and troll poast yesses just to troll it

but the ratio says something towards that "everyone likes wtz" idea doesnt it?

It was clearly goonies defending their, uh, bubbles. Because otherwise sales of our certified warp disruption bubbles will suffer as they won't be used as much for gatecamps..

the 28th mittens comes back yea?

Somebody please lock this riculous thread.

What I find hilarious is that there was a 2 month span from the original thread and your post here... wasn't this thread already dead? What the huh? What is also funny is that most of the poster now havn't a clue that they are posting in a zombi thread.

If WTZ is out, so will most players be, after they die of boredom trying to get from A to B. Ridiculous Idea.

as a lowsec gatecampy pirate i think getting rid of warp to zero is an awful idea

warp to zero was added because flying through space before was a nightmare. If your a pirate and cant figure out how to kill a guy jumping through a gate you should give up and go back to highsec tbh its fine as it is and certainly doesnt need a boost

He look, this thread again. A couple of years back we had the same thing, but then in reverse. Why re-invent the inventing of the wheel? It was adressed a long time ago becasue of DB issues of each and every pilot stacking up metric loads of BM's in their people and places tab.

too many monkeys going anywhere that even warp to 15 wouldnt fix it now, things being far away is an outdated concept sadly Sad

Also bookmarks.

Well the concept would be that instajump bookmarks wouldn't work, because the gates/stations would act like warp-inhibitor bubbles dropping any ship out of warp at 15km even if the ship was trying to use bookmarks.

I like this idea, however, many will not.

I like it because:

- makes supply lines harder
- makes blockade runners more effective
- sounds harder
- has logic
- makes scouts a job
- need to protect your cargo better
- jump freighters become more of a thing
- spying gets a boost

I'd only really supported if local in 0.0 where also delayed/cut/changed.

Where did the recent surge for this idea come from? Some people seem to forget how atrociously boring it was when we DIDN'T have Warp to Zero. Or they simply weren't around before we got it. People needed a ton of different bookmarks and it made the whole thing unnecessarily bloated and time consuming.

If CCP has some sense, they will never consider this idea. Moving backwards is not a sound business strategy.

Funniest junk ever OP.

Instead of getting more targets for your fail gate camps you would just find that no one ever went that way anymore.

At least with the current mechanics you have a chance of catching someone

No.

Removal of WTZ is not the answer.

Sorry for the cross posting but it's relevant:

...previous discussion on the topic before it was released (August 2006):
Warp to Zero desperately needed (this is from BEFORE WTZ, includes original justifications)

Gogela wrote:
1) There are no logistics in eve because of teleportation
2) Travel in eve is safer now than it has ever been in the games history

This is the problem ^

There is an inverse relationship between how compelling eve is to play and how safe it is.

WTZ, if removed, would begin decrease the safety factor, and begin to address the logistics problem, but it would introduce so much annoyance that it would more than negate any gains. We need another solution. Removing WTZ is not it. We need a comprehensive solution, and it's not going to be so simple.

Also, as a pirate and for the record I'd like to say with the exception of a blockade runner in low sec or a cloaky nullified T3 cruiser anywhere (both of these ships are totally uncatchable in these instances) you can catch people in eve still.

The old warp to zero BM's where actually BM 15 KM past the gate.
They could have been BM 100 KM past the gate just as easily.
Or you would send a small ship in, covert ops or frig depending on location and then you warped so far off of them.

There where a lot of ways people got around the no warp to zero.
Adding back in a mechanic that nobody really wants or cares about is a waste of time.

I would rather see CCP put out mines again or something else in limited fashion to see how those work.
How about suicide drones ?
Or warp bubbles that actually pull people out of warp.

Removing warp to zero across the board just causes more issues then it fixes.
