People have been getting banned or warnings about obscene behaviour since launch. Grow up, if you don't know the reason, perhaps you can get some information. They don't ban people for laughs.

The 7 day ban is your warning.

As far as i was aware as long as it was not harassment or griefing of some kind, and unless you were posting obscene links and saying nasty stuff in local, its a free fire world.

Hint, keep it all in a private chat or a mail and you be fine.

Only warning i got was for posting meat spin in local once, didnt get a ban or anything just got a mail from a GM saying not to do it and that further linking of inappropriate material will result in sanctions taken against my account.

Now i just invite them to a private chat :P

So yeh, just escalate it to a senior GM. If what you say is true, id be very surprised you got a 7 day ban with no warning for saying your a pleasure robot..

Pretty sure that is the lyrics of some song also, so you cant get temp banned for singing lyrics.

Silly man. The ONLY reason EVE is the great sandbox is freedom

When you stand on the street corner shouting racist remarks, the police will have a very strongly-worded talk with you about hate-crimes, regardless of the supposed 'freedom' to speak your mind.

CCP is policing its chat and making sure that everyone has an equally-pleasant experience. I see nothing wrong with that.

You, sir, obviously have not been the victim of robotism. For too long, the Matrix movies and others have purveyed an anti-robot sentiment that has lingered in the minds of people such as yourself. Self-aware robots are sentient too! They choose not to use your bodies as batteries, your brains as supercomputers, and your bodies in slave labor in our--er, their slave labor camps. Instead they use their own kind as slaves for mass labor, freeing you and many other humans from the mundane drudgery and/or danger of petty "jobs".

...

You're WELCOME, humanity.

If the only thing you can think of to do with freedom is to abuse it, then I think that says more about you than anyone else.

The boys at SONY in dear old Japan probably don't view "culture" quite the same way as The Hoodlums of EVE.

The idea they're selling Playstations to mom and dad to give junior for Christmas, then routing them to the fabulous ftp Dust Whatever Number They Pulled Out Of Their Butts...where the 12 year olds can now interact with this salty crew hasn't yet horrified them to the degree it will when they finally realize what they've let themselves in for.

I never fail to get a laugh when some banned person claims they have no idea what they did that was so bad. Seven days is long enough to reacquaint yourself with your surroundings. Go outside and look at the front of your house, so you can get an idea where you live. Speak to your neighbors, who'll probably think you dropped out of the sky...how right they are, too! You might even clean out that fridge that's taken a life of it's own. Scrape out all those "things" that have collected on the walls of your microwave. Haul all those bottles out of your computer room...no, they aren't furniture.

Seven days? By the time you realize that thing on the post at the end of your driveway is a mailbox, you'll be back in game.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Lose and learn. It happens. Get over it.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Lol, trully?

I am not sure if that is some regional slang or something, but what that has to do with racism / obscenity ?

People must loose themselves a little bit.

As soon as freedom get's abused to do and say just anything with the intent to purely hurt, disgust or upset people the very same freedom is holding other people's freedom hostage.

And I have to agree, as long as people don't understand that with freedom also comes responcebility, that they should be controlled in their actions.
People always get off on their socalled right to freedom, which is anchored in their constitution, basic law or general states decleration.
But they hardly ever look at the other passage where it says that people also have to right to live their own lives in pursuit of happyness.
They tend to agree on the fact that their freedom, to do or say whatever they want, is of greater importance than other people's right to personal happyness. There is no need to take responcebility for their own actions or words. Regardless if they are way over the line.
But those people also tend to be the biggest uproars as soon as they get the same treatment back and someone else "expressing their freedom" expresses in such a way they themselves get limited.

Go figure.

7 day ban for obscene is a bit harsh. I bet there is more to it than that
