Just a pointless bored-at-work post.

I'm a Pool Complex Amdassador working in Scottsdale, AZ right outside of Phoenix. I enjoy my job because I get to meet cool people, watch chicks in bikinis, and get flirted with by drunk folk all the time. Good tips, too. Pay is awesome. Until it hits 107 degrees like it is today, with half of a fan (the misters aren't working on it, and trust me, they would be nice right now). Holy crap this sucks. Worst part is my gate is covered by a cabana, so all the heat builds up and doesn't go anywhere.

If only I could play EVE at work, I might be able to pass the time a little easier. Until then, it's 100+ degree weather for the next few months. Ugh.

At least it's not Death Valley in Nevada.

_It's very simple, really. If you see Tengus on scan, they are ratting. If you see a shitload of Tengus, the Russians are blobbing. If you see Proteuses on scan, they will be on top of you in about a second. If you see a shitload of Proteuses, the big boys are having a goodfight. _

Well, aside from the fact that Death Valley is in California, that sounds pretty craptacular. While being able to watch attractive women in bikinis is always nice (and there are a LOT of attractive women in Scottsdale), you'd have to pay me a LOT to work outside in the summer here.

TBH, I hadn't realized it was 107 outside today; that explains why the AC in my house kept kicking on with relative frequency until I turned the temperature up by 5 degrees. The worst part? It was 70-something here in Phoenix two weeks ago.

I hear ya. I didn't believe it either until I popped up Weather Underground. Yeah, sorry about the typo with Nevada. It's suppose to cool down to the high 90's until Thursday when we have like a 70% chance of thunder storms.

Fortunately between tips, base pay, and commission, I usually cap over $20/h every week. So it's worth it, being I'll only be doing it for one year and then transferring inside.
