Can we have the warp randomly fail and we end up in a nasty part of space kinda like Elite deadspace?

You first and I hope it makes you disappear.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I guess u never read the part where it says "Nasty" ie., RATS or something,

If you want a random safe. use the mass of a celestial (the Sun for example) to slingshot you into Timewarp.

I suggest that warp drive has its separate core...

blue color - once you warp you spend core energy, not cap... Can't warp too much if you ware in slow ship...

Warp disruptor should nerf that stored energy - not instant, but if you keep on fighting, you can't warp off... If you want to warp off, you have have enough reserve to warp off within 3 seconds, else disruptor kills it all...

How about that?

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

really - add warping align time 300% on gun aggression and eve becomes great again

It makes warp disruptors uber modules and they are already everywhere.

Random failure where RATS are randomly waiting in the middle of nowhere. You would have been better off suggesting a random environmental damage like you get with Recon Lvl 4 that caused you to drop out of warp. Not supporting

Poorly thought out idea is poorly thought out.

Elite was better than EVE in many ways and it fitted on one floppy !!! ELITE FTW!!

In EVE, the days in which you drove a Volkswagen, are very much over, so technology has improved a lot too, so any type of failure would be kind of unrealistic.

Unless of course CCP decides to label all warp engines with VW on them.

VW engines worked pretty well, its the rest of the car that was complete crap.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

So, after 6 months away, I return to find Miilla still making ridiculous posts on the forums. Sadly some things never change.

Yeah, I like this idea. Not sure how much trouble it would be to implement, but it could be used to standarize the cap. req. to enter warp then streamline the energy used in warp. Over excessively long distances it is quite feasible that you could run out of energy depending on the ship you were flying.

Navigation skills are pretty well covered, but there is room for 1-2 more with changes like this and possibly in different categories. Then you could introduce anomailies on non-standard routes that cause the warp drive to fail when passing through them.

Interesting idea about the disruptor. Would make for some interesting potential changes to how that all works as well. Particularly with regard to the point system and how warp stabilization units work.

Users of this feature:

1. Farmers, spamming warp between two points until it happens.

2. (Potentially) people making safespots, behaving in the same manner.

3. Fast tackle, reporting back that the enemy's warp drive did not also fail.

4. Cloakies/scanners, the one randomly decloaked by rats under the other's prepared combat probes.

5. Haulers.

6. All VOIP users, who will have the pleasure of random rats while they were racing to help someone.

Benefits to EVE:

1. When you're trying to abuse it, a tedious and stupid mechanic.

2. Four new kinds of whine thread.

3. EVE will be "more well thought out", because Elite was well thought out, and this is a feature from Elite.

Calling me a carebear is like calling yourself elite. It' simply isn't reality.
