i don't see the problem with adding it back in using the warp bubble code so even if people tried the BM thing it would stop it.

we all know it was a pain to get around back then no need to repeat it.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

YES!! Like the other guy said, remove wtz and make bookmarking a gate a bannable offense

*facepalm

never seen how a drag bubble works in null sec have you?

no matter what you do you come out of warp at the edge of the bubble BM or not.

Yep, so basically everyone would just put a bubble on every gate so when you go from gate > gate you get stopped on the edge of the bubble @ 0.

warp to 15 then slow boat is slow paced and I'm against it only because sometimes I pvp in ships that don't use prop mods. That would suck balls trying to slowboat that out.

The game is better without it. Face it, normal people don't want to be slowboating towards gates that all look alike in a system with the same regional background in the same linear fashion.

While I wouldn't mind it, the convenience and time saving it provides for players far out weigh the role play purposes. Which is unfortunate. Maybe if there was more to do than approach and jump. No one wants to spend an entire playing session just to move some stuff around.

It is possible for you to live your dream... when you select warp, select warp too at 20km (no 15km option) and slow boat it to the gate you'll be in heaven, or use the auto pilot option. I would really recommend you do this in a freighter to draw out your experiance.

Please though don't try to inflict this idea on me, I like warping to 0 and jumping especially in low sec and 0.0

And yes I still have fond memories of having to copy 3 regions worth of BM's

Even better, right click the "warp to 0" option on the selected item window allows you to set the distance to 15. It'll even work when you [s]click~ :O

But seriously this is the third thread talking about removing warp to 0. Why? Is it the new thing to complain about?

/guilty as changed Oops

In the beginning almost nobody actually used them. There was little need, because the galaxy wasn't as hyper-centralized as it is now. It was only around 2005 when it started to get really bad when null-sec started to heat up and several alliances (not 'real' alliances as we have now) started to swap out their entire region libraries with each other for strategic advantages.

I actually had the GMs remove all my bookmarks for me, because my client would crash whenever I tried deleting them.

I miss the fact that the prepared no longer hold a big mobility advantage over the unprepared, and I do think CCP needs to counterbalance the reduced traveltimes caused by Wt0, and its HUGE reduction of travel-risk in low sec. It was by far the biggest blow to low-sec population in EVE. Yes there was more traffic, but much harder to catch and still not not more population, so most pirates left to join the fray in null in the early days of sov warfare and stayed there.

The vast increase of quick and safe travel is making EVE too centralized around Jita, which hurts local markets, removes unique supply properties of regions (like specific loot, null-access, ice and mineral distribution) and makes it very hard for smaller industry players to compete with the big 'Wall-Mart'' guys in Jita.

CCP should do something about that and a good first step would be reduction of all warp-speeds (also because that would make the difference between fast and slow ships more noticable, because maximum speeds would be achieved more easily).

Making low-sec travel more dangerous like by allowing dictors (with sentries dictors, it can't be permacamped) would be a good second step (and CCP should remove some of the glaring 'shortcuts' like the Niarja-Kapuutenen gate), but only after low-sec would become much more attractive then it is now. Low-sec is more dangerous to make money in then null-sec or wormholes, while the profits are only marginally better then empire.

You don't get it OP do you...

This is a GAME. Software sits on hardware and creates this thing you call real. The semi-technical name for this software is a database and for this database to provide you with all the stuff you want to do with it, it has to make thousands of "calls" per second to other parts of it. And that is just for you...

Get 40,000 other people making similar "calls" and you start to get millions of instructions per second or even billions, which has a direct effect on the hardware.

And you want to add to it by introducing bm - as ppl will want to W20.

hibernate ...pls

Pointless thread is pointless.

Whether everyone will admit it or not, everyone wanted WTZ. The fact that so many BM's were created using game mechanics to establish WTZ indicated a feature which needed to be offered by CCP. CCP merely identified the need and implemented the feature. In fact, WTZ can be as much of a liability as a convenience, see drag bubbles. Nothing is requiring anyone to use the feature WTZ. You may still create, share, sell those BM's as they still have some uses, see bubbles.

Those of you still whining about WTZ in HS need to HTFU, you have your pound of flesh with autopiloting indies, freighters and shiny ships.

I agree with this, but ONLY if you make it so that jump bridges/titan bridges also generate a 100km warp-interdiction sphere when they jump in, so power projection is nerfed both for subcaps AND caps.

Majority will be against going back to the old ways, we've had this discussion before.

I am also against it, mainly because travelling 30+ jumps would take far longer than it does now. (Longer in this case = more boredom).

Edit: Of course once you've done the route most people would have BM it, but many BMs were just a pain in the butt.

If you want to slow travel then it's far simpler to just nerf warp speeds.

If you're looking for free kills from new players then yeah no sorry. Catch people on the other side of the gate like everyone else. Sorry if this means you can't fit a couple of WCS

Who the **** said anything about roleplay? Why do people always have to make 50 threads about everything? Anyway, go read the original thread. It's about the complaint with warp to 0 is about low sec pirating and has nothing to do with roleplay.
