I'm having a similar issue with an "Eve Online Launcher Exception" error box with texts larger than is allowed to be posted here.

A section of the text of the error that appears significant:

Quote:
ReaderError: unacceptable character #x0000: special characters are not allowed
in "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\cache\settings.yaml", position 0

Bob is always present, watching you traverse space accessable only though wormholes. He is the constant reminder that there is always someone watching you, waiting for your moment of weakness to appear and claim his toll for collecting the bounty of his realm.

Found a solution, though my error message is somewhat different than yours. The issue is apparently that the Launcher's files are corrupted.

I removed the settings.yaml file from the launcher cache directory, and then started the launcher, and it ran fine.

I suggest trying to look over your error message for a likely source of corruption, and remove/replace that file(don't delete until you've fixed the problem).

That isn't really a fix.

I had the same problem, running Eve out of BIN now.
