Evewebsite extremely sluggish in chrome

Opened new devblog from google plus in chrome. Blog page is extremely sluggish in opera. Works fine in IE (used purely to cross check sluggishness i swear). Both the general devblog link ( http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp ) and the specific dev blog link ( http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=28612 ) lag severly. Other devblog entries do not seem to lag.
