Diamond in the Rough: EVE-Online Winter Expansion

Some people say the last few expansions were not good. Some say they were garbage, but there is hope!

The winter expansion will be here before you know it and that my friends; will be your diamond in the rough. There are many exciting changes coming our way like the logistics buff that was talked about and the frigate re-balance. Super capitals will be reworked to provide vast engaging fleets and dare I say EPIC good times ahead. That is just the tip of the iceberg in content and such things. Even our Captains Quarters will see itself quadruple in size with the other races. I'm talking BIG!

So don't QQ and unsub only to find yourself having to resub with regrets of lost skill training time. Stick around and tough it out friends, salvation is on the horizon and it will indeed be glorious!

I'm excited as hell about rebalancing. We're talking dozens of updates on the database here, something not to be taken lightly. As balancing is done only once every 18 months they gotta make sure it's done right, not at all like those scrubs in other games who rebalance constantly.

The problem with a diamond in the rough is it sometimes takes years of polishing to achieve its true potential...

Rule #1 When it comes to playing Eve Online.

Never believe what CCP says. Wait until it is actually released before you actually start praising it.

And even the best of diamonds can be ruined if it's not cut properly.

And even the best cut is worthless if the diamond itself is full of flaws, impurities and tainted colour.

I feel like you could play some 'generic gospel music' while reading the first post and it would be exponentially better.

Also, blah blah blah metaphor about diamonds.

You realise that they haven't agreed or finalised on the planning phase yet? Which means all the actual execution work is still to come...design/build/test/implement etc.

i.e. don't get too excited! That doesn't mean CCP can't fix a whole bunch of stuff through really simple reference database changes!
