Actually Enyo's blog did not mention the huge price leap experienced by freighters and orcas, very popular capital hulls among industrialists.

Now, orcas topped at 780mil / unit 4 days ago and then their price dropped to 730ish million, a clear sign of market speculation since they still costs 650ish millions to produce.

Speculation on this ships might continue in the foreseable future: since mining and industry are viable profit makers during an inflactionary market, this hulls are going to become more and more in demand.

Didn't make the calculations for freighters and JF, but i'd expect the first to become more popular due the revived industry and the latter to become a bit less popular as there is less hauling to do from null.

Increased Industry in general should keep the demand for BOTH Freighters and JF's rather high. methinks.

Besides, JF's in Null and Low are like Cranes in High Sec. Half are used as really fast expensive shuttles.

It's possible that people are speculating on freighters because they're expecting to see a lot of them get blown up on April 28th.

No. The prices for capitals are a result of the mineral prices. Jump Freighters are much more expensive because of Technetium.

I tend to agree.. and I suppose there is also speculation on the product itself.

There might be capsuleers with large wallets who didn't manage to catch mineral's bandwagon and might have speculated on on empire capitals instead.

As for jump freighters, Krixtal has a good point i had not considered.

A while back in a thread about what ship do you LOVE, it was surprising how many said their Crane !

They are used for EVERYthing.
