I was looking for a devblog on the internet connection that eve has (I saw it a while back, but I can;t find it), and came across this gem.
I should note, this is most likely a nice little phishing scam, trying to intercept logon packets going to the servers so they can steal all your isk.

that is such a terrible form based page.

Eve Online servers are hosted in North America .You will be good in terms of the Eve Online latency if you are from this country.

uh, yes, definitely. north america... Roll

Nonetheless, there are also millions of players from [list of countries]

holy crap, when did EVE get "millions of players"? Shocked

Some gamers may experience Eve Online latency as high as 1000 ms or even more! That is approximately a 1 second delay before you are able to see and react to an opponent's attack!

as many bittervets would say, working as intended.

Constantly having a very bad Eve Online ping does not make for a good gaming experience. Imagine if you are in Battlefield PvP (player versus player) with gamers from North America with ping of only 60 ms or lower.

wait, when did players in north america get better latency than just about everywhere else?

and while the last one was part of this, it still needs to be posted.

Eve Online ping - or the amount of lag on the network as the client computer tries to communicate with a remote server - should ideally be below 400 ms. Constantly having a very bad Eve Online ping does not make for a good gaming experience. Imagine if you are in Battlefield PvP (player versus player) with gamers from North America with ping of only 60 ms or lower ; your relatively high Eve Online latency can result in your early loss very easily. Without you even knowing it, your online character would already be dead. The factors that contribute to Eve Online lag will center on the quality of the player's Internet connection. This includes the speed of your connection through your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the physical distance of the game server to the gamer's computer, bad internet routing, slow connections, network bottlenecks and too many ping routes or hops.

have they even looked at the game? I mean WTF?!
