Due to numerous issues with the EVE Launcher and the strain it's currently causing on the Technical queue we created the following Wiki article with a collection of known issues and workarounds. It will be updated with new information and workarounds as they arrive.

Well, I tried several times to download the EVE client in full again and it always stops at 1.5 GB. Is there another link I can try besides the one listed in the wiki?

Checked with my ISP if there was some kind of limit per file but there is none.

There have been cases where routers have been the cause of this, some kind of filtering is enabled in them that causes files beyond 1.5Gb not being downloaded correctly. I recommend you check your router's manual for this setting and/or contact your ISP for information on how to work around this.

Nothing in the router manual that should stop large file downloads (I did download the client during the last patch without problems) and ISP says there should be no problem. Download doesn't work on either iMac nor MacbookPro

Would be nice to know if there is some mirror site to try aside from the CCP link

Have you tried downloading the client using the terminal?

Open the Terminal and paste the following there

cd ~/Downloads; curl -O http://content.eveonline.com/342397/eve-premium_007646_342397-mac.dmg
( if there's an updated download simply copy the link from the download page and replace the numbers with the new ones.)

This will download the latest EVE Online client to your Downloads directory, just make sure you've deleted all prior downloads of the EVE Online installation file from the Downloads directory before downloading in this manner.

Please take a look at this link: Launcher + Install Problems

None of the things documented so far works for me at all and I cannot log into the game as a result. Both the OS X and Windows install attempts have failed. Patching does not work. Downloading takes 3 entire days.

Please give me a manual patch download or refund me as I am totally out of workarounds since everything else has failed.

Manual patching is available, if you know where to look:

Those links go to CCP, so all he is doing is providing a link basically, but they are the incremental patches

Also, Chribba hosts a manual patch page, but not sure if he wants ti getting out

Adrenalinemax: I tried that link and attempted to download the latest patch from there. Did it in 2 different operating systems and used 3 different browsers.

The links are there on the page, but you can't download anything from there. Basically it attempts to download the .tgz files but you can zero data.

I have been lucky in that once the launcher came out of the SiSi stage and into the TQ stage it has worked well for me so i hadn't used that page in a while.

i also have an issue, namely it won't accept my user:password combo, but it works on my PC, so my acc is not hijacked. I tried copying it but nothing works. I'm using a 2year old macbook pro with OSX 10.6

I've not been able to run dual clients on either my MBP 2011 or iMac 2010. When I log into second client, it shuts down the first. I've followed the instructions here:

and tried options 1, 2 & 4. None of which work.

Day 1 of Inferno no problems .... i'm thinking finally CCP has got their act together \o/ ..... day 2 a patch is offered at login ...... the patch loads corrupted files and i have to completely download EVE from scratch in the hopes that it will be enough to make the game start up ...... tbh i can't imagine any other job were this kind of serial failure would be acceptable .... every patch you fix some problems for pc users that end up totally screwing mac users ..... whatever you are paying the programmers it's way too much, they stink.

Hello,

When i started my client 5 days ago (after the launcher started up and showed the 'play' option) all it gave me is a grey screen in window mode and a black screen in fullscreen modus. This happened on logging into the station.

I played eve earlier that day after DT without issues.

After trying to restart the client i could not even see the login screen. I've tried the repair tool, Repair tool download doesn't recognize the eve client anymore. It says it';s invalid. I downloaded a new client, it patched and on startup does exactly the same thing. Grey/black screen. I can not get back into game.

i cleared cache files and all, nothing helped.

Downloaded a new client several times.

I petitioned this 5 days ago. I did not even get a single reply yet.

PLEASE help with some support CCP.

Has anyone realized there mac launcher and the windows launcher are different? The mac launcher does not have the tranquility status and numbers on-line posted on the screen, nor does it have any of the tools that are available to the windows version. It also lacks the links that are available on the windows launcher.

It would be nice if the launchers were the same.

The Mac launcher is pretty minimal, yes. The Windows and Mac launchers aren't at all comparable.

the client REFUSES to allow me to patch, I've downloaded the client now 6 times in the last week for EVERY patch you guys have released
