I'll some up the 4 races thus.

Amarr : PEW PEW PEW
Minmatar: DAKA DAKA DAKA
Gallente: BUMP BUMP BOOM
Caldari: MISSILE LAUNCH DETECTED

To be fair, if you're Gallente you probably spend more time in a Myrm than many other ships, and it's got more Dokka than Boomp.

Just wanting to add that race you pick at the start of the game doesn't mean you are fixed to it.

So if you started a Gallente pilot but like the Amarr way better, you can train Amarr ships on your Gallente pilot and fly them with the same stats as you would if you were an Amarr pilot.

Character race in EVE doesn't matter besides looks and background story for RP players.

Basically the Warrior ability bar from Nox fully describes most gallente play. Throw shuriken (drones) in random directions blindly and hope something dies, hookshot (damp) people into your optimal with rails, or, of course, CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE.

wow, great videos. I've been looking for something similar to the Amarr video. Too bad it doesn't have the Empress doing any voiceovers.

I originally started out as Gallente because their description fit me better but for some reason, the Amarr race called to me after about a month of playing so I switched. (I hate gold and I'm an atheist)

I started as Gallente because of the race description, and I'm still glad I did.

Their backstory is the most appealing to me, together with the Minmatar one, and they're allies.

I actually go out of my way to recruit Caldari/Minmatar pilots, as I prefer the versatility of these ships in PvE and PvP ennvironments. They also tend to shield tank, making logistics easier to handle in mixed fleets.

Missiles and AutoCannons also allow you to choose damage type. Lasers are hybrids are limited to thermal/EM and kinetic/thermal, respectively. While Amarr and Gallente can swap out ammo for range, so can Minmatar: but they can swap for range -and- damage type. For missiles, range doesn't matter; they hit the same at 500m and 30km.

I could be wrong, but this is my general estimation/experience on the matter.

As you can crosstrain other races ships in a few hours it really makes no difference which race you pick.
I'd recommend choosing the one which backstory you like or whose avatar's are hottest.
I'm Gallente but I fly all races ships. There are no penalties or bonuses for flying other races ships.
