In my opinion it's not needed. Just learn english, i'm sure it will help you all outside the game too!

I remember back in 2006 the tutorial had a Portuguese version. Guess CCP is back-paddling.

Personally as a Portuguese i don't really care much about localizations, but i see that effort being able to pay out in the Brazilian market where people have deep pockets and lack of interest on foreign languages.

It is true that translating the game to Portuguese would attract more players from Brazil than from Portugal.
But this is because the market is just much bigger in Brazil. Stating that people that live here have no interest in foreign languages just shows your lack of information.

Most gamers here can speak English to varying degrees, even though not all of them had the opportunity to pay for study. A great number of them prefer to not talk, unless they are fluent or it's really necessary.
