Less Tears | Save Jita: Take Hisec Back!!

Well, and how exactly do you think we should do that?
How can we stop the Goons from organizing events like Hulkageddon and burn Jita?

I've been playing EVE for almost 4 month now and I have to say I am quite disappointed.

I had great plans of being a miner and producer mining ore, refining it, manufacturing goods and selling them for profit. I actually thought that miner and producer is a honorable profession in EVE being the base of the economy.

But what do you get? Scamming, griefing, ganking and bullying defenseless players seem to be the right way to go in this game.

So you shouldn't be surprised at all that someone who got banned for his antisocial behaviour in RL is planning to terrorise players to celebrate his glorious return and CCP is doing nothing about it.


I don't get any joy from being ganked in my 300 mil. Hulk by 3 or 4 cowards in their 5 mil. destroyers without any means to defend myself.

I don't get any joy from my cans being fliped and all I can do is sit and watch.

I don't get any joy from losing my industrial and cargo just because someone else is bored.

And I don't get any joy from being forced into fights I don't want to fight especially if there is no way I can win.


So what can I as a single person do about all this? I'm afraid the only thing is to quit playing.
And that's exactly what I am going to do.

So if there are other players like me who don't get joy from being bullied around let CCP know and suspend your account to make your voice being heared. If there are enough of us maybe they will listen and give us a little space in their sandbox that dogs don't use as a toilet so we can play the game the way we enjoy it.
I'm afraid that's the only way we can "fight back".


Don't get me wrong. I don't want to whine. If this is the way this game is meant to be then so be it. It's just not the way I enjoy playing. But given the fact that the vast majority of the citizens in EVE live in highsec I can't believe I'm the only one thinking that way.

I also can't believe that there can't be a way to co-exist WITHOUT ruining other players game. If there really is no way to respect players who want to live in peace or only want to fight FAIR battles then it's best (at least for me) to leave sooner rather than later because I came to EVE to have fun (my kind of fun - without hurting anybody) and not to get frustrated.


And Goons, how about thinking of how to make this game as pleasant as possible for EVERYONE and not just for a bunch of idiots?

you are a real idiot arnt you, this is eve, you cannot play the way you want all the time, if you want to mine without being can flipped, take measures against it, dont whine. if you dont want to get suicide ganked, fit tank on your ships, and also, eve is a PVP GAME, its primarily PVP based and its not a game for someone that wants to sit there clicking on rocks for hours on end for no reason.

But always remember that this is EVE and the universe is a cruel and unforgiving place to live.

Goons, have fun, i truly hope your lulz are realized in this endeavor. Anti-Goons - if you REALLY want to ruin the Goons super happy fun time - don't go to Jita. DERP. They can keep Jita as we have at least 7 other major trade hubs in Hi-Sec.

As much as I'd like the Goons to have their fun, I do believe most care-bears that are not idiotically suicidal will probably share my view. GL to the 'Resistance' or whatever, but i really think you'd do more damage by just making the Goons bored and steering clear of Jita altogether.

I heard this Burn Jita is a protest to CCP?I hope not, that's pretty silly -what is this #Occupy Jita Roll

I like how OP thinks the Goons will be using in-alliance characters who are subject to wardecs.

I mean it's not like the goon-wiki lists everything you need to make your own ganking alt to sit in an NPC corp.

Oh, actually it does.

My guess is TEARS hang around Jita 4-4 and the Perimeter ingate with their out-of-corp logi and moan and whine about the goons using out-of-corp alts in an irony implosion that may threaten the server as a whole.

Should make for some good forum porn.

Honestly most of the "resistance" are just looking at this as a chance to whore in on as many KMs as possible before a bored goon takes a pot shot at them.

Its kill a GOON day, do whatever you want but after you'll regret sitting around doing nothing. This is your chance to get back at Goons, every carebear must rise! Show them that even the cuddliest bears have TEETH!

Most of the goons won't even be in jita anyway. Word of mouth is going to slow jita down enough. The goons will set up thier 1800 tornados around the popular gates into jita and after scanning out the best targets stuck on the gates will selectively pop as much isk as they can.

Yes and no. Alts, basically, we have lots of them - and that's going to be why some idiot (who will inevitably try to kick us out of deklein over the weekend) can still run face first into a thousand drakes.

@Raymond, Good job, I suppose next you'll do some digging and also discover that we're a hisec war dec alliance. The entire point of this event is showing all the forum whiners that fighting back can be an effective option versus just not logging in. For the weekend of the 28th, i'm concerned about highsec as a whole, stressing unity over individual parties, yet you seem to be intent on drawing lines in the sand which makes me wonder where YOUR real intentions are. I'm also really sorry to hear that an NPC corp forum alt won't be supporting our event.

The fact that Goonswarm is saying they plan on using alts just shows that they're actually worried about our ability to impact their gameplay. Negative 10 alts or not, we won't make things easy for you.

If this is to be effective, suely you will need:
1) war dec Goons, test, etc (this alone will probably cost a few kidneys after the 24th)
2) Find any hi-sec posses associated with them and destroy the pos
3) Scan Jitta & surounding systems for Orca's / Tornados / PODs
4) Fly en-mass to staging sites adn destroy the Orca / GCC'd PODs

Either, tie them up in having to deal with fleet fights instead of hitting the freighters.

At least for the first while the HiSec team could kill quickly consdering that they will be targeting glass cannons / This will probably be balanced by the lact of experience in the hisec fleets.

OR

Find their staging areas. Kill the damn Orca's or Pos.

Suicide gank ANY one from their alliance any where you find them

Or Both.

meh, it's in Caldari space. let it burn. let it ALL burn. I think it would be neat if the Goons did a Level 4 Interdiction, where they specifically scanned down people running Level 4s, say, in Caldari space, and started popping them as quickly as possible (Mittani, can you make it happen?)

I'm actually tempted to come out of my wormhole to watch the carnage, and siphon off some of the tears.

I'm not sure who to root for, actually. I really respect Karrde, from the days of MC, et al and, uh, what's that other thing he's been doing recently? Oh yeah, the CSM. :P

....but on the other hand, GOONS. and all the fail, the win, the trolling, and the occasional sincere things that come from them.

oh, and the drama. let's not forget that Goons make drama. it's ironic. a few years ago people were hoping Goons would defeat the big, bad BoB. But EVE hates a drama vacuum.

I don't believe the Jita Opt-out program is real for one second (brought to you by the creators of the "Pay me 500M and I'll let you join Goonswarm! Sucker." program), but I support the Goons in their endeavor to elevate the price of everything on the market, bringing me higher returns when I sell stuff. Just gotta be sure to get my crap completely bought by the 26th, to be safe.

However, have you considered goons are not in fact out for hi-sec blood but are actually roleplayers? Yes, I doubt you have accounted for this. You see Himnos has it right, this is all just a cover to change the roleplaying dynamics of EVE. For too long has Jita been the center of commerce at the detriment of other peoples.
