As someone else mentioned, it's about balance. Also the big outrage is about Suicide Ganking yet you keep using that word, PvP. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Well, MasterDumbposterGuy, we all have to take into account you're not operating with a full deck. The elevator doesn't go all the way to the top....one fry short of a happy meal... Secondly. The only weepy threads pervading the board are the ones like YOURS, and lately YOURS, which all claim so-called PvP-ers not only are ENTITLED to this laundry list of bilge, but are now ENTITLED to the game itself. This, thank you. It seems as time passes this game is less game and more politics, religion and epeen. I remember when things like titans were special and a DD being used was news worthy. Now you got all manner of crap making the forums. Nothing really matters in eve anymore.

As for the OP, by the criteria used to define Eve as a PvPcentric game, I can use the same criteria and define every MMO out there as a PvPcentric game. And given how much PvPers keep sticking their noses into PvE, I'm beginning to wonder if they aren't feeling lonely and neglected. Or perhaps just...jealous.

How do you figure. I went through 6 characters on ToR, never once talked to or did anything with anyone. My experience was 100% PvE. I also did not add to the PvP experience of the game in any way, because I could sell and buy to NPCs.

WoW is the same.

Yes both of these have PvP servers, but the difference (PvP server vs PvE server) is little. You can still PvE only to your heart's content, if you can avoid people.


In EVE, unless you only mission with the ships provided in the tutorials, never selling or buying anything, you are engaging in PvP activities or activities that further/effect the PvP of others.

I wish people would not just lump everything in a game into a PvP category. Just because people are in an MMO that has PvP does not make everything PvP.
