Freighter cargo restrictions?

Any wily freighter pilots out there that'll explain exactly what and how you can store in a freighter's cargo hold?

As I understand it you can only pack things into general freight containers and then put those in a freighter but it seems to me you'll end up with wasted M3 that way.

Any answers for a hauling clueless combat pilot would be appreciated.

Posted on main because I'm not a coward like the rest of you.

You don't need to use general freight containers. You can put regular items in there and courier contract packages.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

This is also the key to shipping assembled ships via freighter. Have an alt (or trusted corpmate) courier contract them to your freighter character, then you'll be able to fit them in the freighter without a problem.

You'll find that freighter pilots who do courier contracts with an alt accepting them could quite happily strangle people who use containers.

A container in a courier contract can't have that plastic wrap put in another contract. So they have to fly their contract alt, along with their hauler.

(Contract alts are used for a degree of protection from wardecs. It's how Red Frog operate)

Woo! CSM XI!
