Some of you may remember from last year when I announced the release of the original analysis for Project Compass, an Arek'Jaalan research project dedicated to attempting to locate Anoikis in relation to New Eden. Since the release of the original report, a new method of locating Anoikis has come to light through the use of Control Towers. Utilizing this new methodology, Project Compass 2.0 was launched to see what the new methodology could uncover. Today, on behalf of myself and co-Project Lead Faulx, I'm delighted to announce the release of the preliminary analysis of the new methodology. The link to this new analysis is available here. This project was a concerted effort, only made possible with the help not only of Faulx as co-lead, but also a number of other individuals who offered time or system access to help make this project a success. I extend my sincerest thanks to those who have helped us through this project.

I welcome any and all comments, critiques and suggestions, and I will do my best to answer any questions. I fully admit that there are some potential problems with the methodology (discussed in full in the report), however, both Faulx and I believe that the data collected should be announced and released regardless, as long as the caveats discussed in the report are kept in mind. This report should by no means be seen as the definitive answer to where Anoikis is located, but it should certainly be part of the conversation.

Compass itself was limited solely to trying to determine the location of Anoikis. Nothing more and nothing less. However, co-lead Faulx has been working to examine some of the underlying patterns of wormholes and other things that you may find of interest (he's very much the more mathematically inclined of the two of us).
