Mr. Reid is personable, articulate, and does well at toting the line between hype and genuine excitement. It's good to see him getting out there and putting a face to the Eve universe. I, for one, am glad he was hired. Thanks for what you're doing.

Case in point: I don't know the name of CCP's previous marketing director.

he needs to get on SONYs case quick about the possible release of DUST beta keys prior to CCP customers getting them -
but yeah, from what i've seen so far he strikes me as thoroughly competent, and that is very reassuring.

Average Penetration for my current tanks gun

AP, GOLD, HE
248 / 297 / 60

the 90mm is even worse its

170 258

so for RL money the **** gun = better than the top one...

So either the guys a moron and has no idea what he is talking about OR dust will be pay to win.

Play WoT long enough and you know when someone is throwing gold rounds...

Picking and choosing what to listen to, and what to blatantly ignore, and then fabricating your own out of context version of what was actually said is an interesting skill. Perhaps you should take that show on the road...

I've played WoT since beta. Premium ammo isn't the issue, it's premium tanks that have stats a tier above their normal placement. If you know how to drive and how to position your tank relative to the enemy any bonus to penetration from gold ammo is nearly completely negated.

Regardless, your post is completely out of context. The WoT devs have nothing to do with DUST.

I think his reference to WOT was more along the line of the more experience/money earned per battle (it speeds thing up, but does not give them any direct advantage in a single round. or possibly in that with WOT, when you get gold membership, you can store more tanks, maybe you can have more prepared suits ready for battle. this might be a little bad as people can fit their suits more specifically and choose exactly what they want rather than only have a couple and needing to generalize.

As long as I have the option to transfer AUR from my EVE character to my DUST character I'm "golden". Smile
