I would move into a WH and start making money and quit falling for scams.

Make more ISK and gamble it, you're bound to have a good luck turn after that.

Does this really work guys?

Absolutely. In fact you may even want to discuss this with those you gamble with. Often they're more than happy to give you a loan you can use to gamble with, with very reasonable rates.

Gambling, lol. Sounds legit.

I don't care what you think, if you ever think at all.

I would never gamle again? A smarter person than you would not go into gambling, but start his own casino.

Yes. That's why Vegas has been around so long. Go ahead and do it. I'm sure you've used up all your bad luck by now.

I lost 20% of my worth in a stupidcide gank. Then another 25% to get my ship back in order. All it did was motivate me more to hit my first $bill... which I've done. And promptly spent 50% on a shiny new fleet. Look at em... all shiny and new and still in their boxes. Drooooool....

Now... back to a $bill! Huzzah!

I don't gamble.

On the other hand I also don't really care for ISK since it's only a means and not a goal.

If I lost 80% of my money gambling, I'd seek professional help. If I saw myself trying to gamble to pay off a gambling debt, I'd paint "mafia target" on my back and accept my true fate in life.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Sounds like you got yourself in a bit of a spot there. I've got some extra isk that I can spare and help you with. Just send me any amount that you feel comfortable with and I'll double it and send it back to you.

I found a bunch of bonus tickets the people I gambled with gave to me that I never used. I'm going to use those to try to get back up on my feet. Besides that I started making the first steps to setting up industry production, but I struggle with the knowledge of how much I've lost. I know why gamblers drink now.

Get my noodle checked out by the head shrinker. If I lost 80% of my wealth that would be an indicator of addiction.

Less isk makes eve more fun was said, but QFT...

The most enjoyment I have found requires careful flying of smaller ships that are lower cost. So the pirate epics, exploration, wormholes, and more are all very enjoyable in small fleet. Hopefully higher risk incursions means less shiny ships so more people can fly cost effectively.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

This happened to me, I thought it would be a nice idea to double my 12b ISK instead I lost most of it. Then I quit for over a month before I even claimed the 20% I had won. Thankfully, I'm being helped with recovering that 20% now that I'm back.

I'm not sure what I want to do in EVE but I've never tried manufacturing, I think I'm going to try that.

But because of this and perhaps prior to this I was losing attachment to ISK, though obviously not that much because it made me quit. But now that I've lost so much regaining it seems almost silly. Plus, people are making hundreds of billions doing Incursions which makes it seem pointless to try and amass anything as it's petty in comparison and I don't like grinding.

Better question is probably what did or could rekindle your passion for EVE?

People making hundreds of billions doing Incursions?
Well, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Best thing to do is whatever you enjoy doing in Eve and don't look at the grass on the other side of the fence.

If I lost 80% of my wealth gambling I would focus on the 20% I did win and tell all my friends about all the (20%) money I'm making playing online poker so I look and feel like a pro. Eventually I might even be able to convince myself it's true, and that's all that matters, right? Gambling is fun.
