There have been known issues with AV software in the past that will take a fingerprint of a program. If an external program (like the launcher) changes it, the AV will restore the software to the "correct" version.

What AV are you using?

Perform a low level disk scan.
Turn off your AV while running updates & repair tool.

I'd seriously suspect a corrupted blah blah blah. seriously.

Something is going on during computer startup, Its not that it takes a day prpbably so much as it takes a startup.


you could try running MSCONFIG from the run line and by process of elimination find out what is corrupting your blah blah blah.

this tool and another linked on this page called process explorer are great but before you go crazy

blah blah blah :)

disable firewall and av reboot and see if that fixes the problem. then to msconfig, disable most autoruns and start enabling them and rebooting one at a time.If you figure out name of blah blah blah you could find it with process explorer and find what calls it. but now your getting deeper than it sounds like your ready to go.
