So my corp is trying to get an orca out to our alliances nullsec sovereignty, and im trying to figure out what would be the best way to do that? Flying out the parts and building it seems the best option, so using a jump freighter? its 770k m3 of parts.

Titan bridge from lowsec.

Of course a Rorqual is more useful in 0.0 and easier to move.

Or if you don't mind probing: probe for a wormhole in 0.0, then find a path through w-space to hisec. An Orca can fit through a C2/3/4/5/6 wormhole. Expect it to take about 4 to 6 w-space systems to find a route, unless you get lucky (possible). You may have to go through a C2 or C3 to reach hisec.

TIP: C5/C6 wormholes to hisec are always small. Perform a one-probe scan at max range (combat probe works well, deep space probe is best), and check the weakest signatures first. They are fairly rare though.

TIP: K162 wormholes mean somebody has already initiated warp to that wormhole from the other side.

TIP: Fit a MWD and an Improved cloak so you can warp in 10 seconds (one MWD cycle); you will need to use a Reactor Control module. Also fit a probe launcher in case a wormhole collapses unexpectedly and separates the Orca from your scout.

Use T1 mods with high mineral compression e.g 425mm rails, tachs etc.
Calculate what you need for an Orca.

well, i got mine out by doing the MWD cloack trick, and fitting all lows with intertia stabs, i had a scout going through the systems i had to visit to keep an eye out of hostiles.

you could build it out there as well.

Get together a BPC kit and transport that out in a covert op, materials through mineral compression and transport out by JF or place buy orders. Slower but less likely to see your Orca on a killboard before you get to use it.

Having provided JF services for two years, I would definitely recommend using a JF to jump out all the minerals you need and to build it in null - it's the safest way to move it. For a bit less than 40k m3, you will need 3 trips to haul 770k m3 as the maximum a Rhea (which holds the most) can haul with maxed skills is 367k m3.

Of course, getting a Rorqual would be ideal for null sec but this depends on whether your corp can afford it right now.

QFT.

Although, Orcas do seem to have a niche in nullsec. More time witth the barges mining, and they can operate as mini PoSes in places, due to corp hangar and ship bay.

Why, exactly, should he QFT?

I melted mine down. With high skills and high standings I only lost 1 capital component which I rebuilt in empire and then JF'd everything out to 0.0 where I rebuilt it. That does require access to a JF tho.

Scout it
Bridge it
Build it
WH it
Pay someone else to get it out there

Any of the above will work. It just depends on how much work you feel like doing and how much backing you have for the project.
