What ship will be reskinned next?

Hi all,

OK, which ship do you think will be reskinned next? And what do you want it to look like?

I think the Phoon will be next, to look a bit like a mini Hel Big smile

who cares.

It'll take them 3 months to design and make the new ship model.


They wont start any time soon as they've put everything on pause to revert a list of 10 things that they implimented with incarna.


That will take at least 6 months if not more for them to revert the changes, then they'd have forgotten about redesigning ships, and then maybe at the 12 month mark someone would have poked the CSM's on the forums, they'll remind CCP and 3months after that they might release a new skin!!


But seriously, that space-shoe needs a facelift.

While it wouldn't technically be a re-skin, I'm going to assume that the Tornado will be implemented as the "reskin" of one of the Minmatar battleships. Seeing as that will likely mean many V3 Minmatar art assets will have been made, they might even fit in another rust-redux. They've also mentioned the Punisher as being up near the front of the line.

Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.

Dominix or Apocalypse for me, both are great ships, but hideous to look at.

Vexor hull too come to think of it.

Those three all look really good. How could you hate the apoc?

But the apoc is out of it anyway, since they have a warehouse full of models of it :P

The harby does need to be redone though. Ever since I first saw it, its a ship that doesn't fit with the eve design styles. It looks out of place.

How has the Celestis not been mentioned? Easily the ugliest ship in the game. I'm forcing myself to suffer through it to get an Arazu alt. God awful ship.

The apoc just looks unfinished to me. Has scaffolding hanging out of the gap in the middle. It just doesn't quite do it for me asthetically. The ship itself is a monster, don't get me wrong. Just fugly

Worse model is the gila i beleive (moa hull?). It feels like it's out of scale and all those bits and stuff around the main body...

Plz, have mercy and put it out of its misery.

All Super Carriers are going to be re-skinned to look and act like Rorquals
All Titans are going to be re- skinned to look like Black OPs

Caldari will be Pink
Gallente will be florescent green
Ammar will be bright yellow.
Minimatar will be primer and full of holes.

apoc is one of the best looking ships in the game.... abaddon looks better but once u undock in a navy apoc u jut cant do anything else.

the phoon could use a reskinning for sure, actually a mini-niddy/hel look would probably work nicely, the thukker mix camo paintjob would stand out more on the panther with a good reskin (kinda hard to do a detailed paintjob on the current phoon hull).

also some of the T2 ships I think should be shifted to other hulls, imho the slepnir should be shifted over to the cane hull (given its role the cane hull would fit better), the cane hull in boundless creation color scheme would look hot;)

The Raven needs a refresh badly.

Would also still love to see a flyable amarr BS in khanid color scheme, maybe an abbadon hull.

Re-skin the Domi. It's a drone carrier for pete sakes. Right now it reminds me of a legless, wingless pregnant blowfly shooting out it's eggs. Something a little sleeker with obvious launch bays. Make em terminate where a set of running light would be, but with a cool azure glow emanating from the cavern of the bays.

If scafolding does the trick, why put anything over the top of it? Sensible spaceship design. Have you seen some of the stuff nasa puts people inside? The ISS looks like something a clown on the street would make out of balloons.

Raven will be remodelled, it has been done allready but the final project wasn't approved for release (free time project of one dev), I imagine the dev went back to the drawingboard, cause he is fearless

All ships will be reskinned by winter.

Oh and by the way, if you touch the Apoc, not even the lord himself will guard you from my wrath.

CCP...touch the Apoc. I want to see said wrath. I bet it involves unicorns and skittles.
