hey guys. ive been looking at training into a loki eventually, but i cant decide which option is best for the ship. I could opt for an armor tanking, dual webbing loki, or i could use a shield tanker and sacrifice some of the loki's webbing for a bigger buffer tank (i think, though i may be wrong, remember i dont know what im talking about :)
so for small gangs and/or solo, ignoring whatever logi may be fielded by my friends, which is the better option?

I would kite fit it for solo/small gang personally, so some kind of shield fit
or you could opt for a heavy tackle armor fit if that's what you're into.
100mn still fotm for t3s

Keep in mind that your acceleration with a 100mn AB is dreadful, if its your first time trying it in pvp.

My suggestion is, skill up, head for the test server (singularity) and play with some fits there.
You get practice, idea's and the ability to lose endless numbers of them without feeling it on your Tranquility account.

My advice would be to not train for a loki.

Its a very very specialized ship that has its purpose in the game but is only really good for the price at a couple of things, and unless you happen to be doing these precise things, other cheaper ships will be better in 95% of the cases.

(Loki does 2 things well, the first one is web in a armor hac gang or for dreads, the second is solo pvp if you have lots of isk).

Two problems, you don't know what you are talking about and you are ignoring a very important and fight changing part of the fleet.

The armor tanking, webbing loki is by far the better choice in a fleet. It is a major help when grabbing fast ships at range, couple it with a proteus and you can point the same ship from the same range. If you had logi the armor fit is definitely the way to go, away from friends the loki doesn't need to web things to kill them, and there really isn't a point in web range without the ability to warp disrupt them at the same range. Aside from rigs, remember you can change sub systems and the fit on your loki prior to any fight, plan accordingly.

Confirming that the armor/web Loki is awesome.
