To quote munchkin "Goons have no class." They do in fact scam, and heavily, at times. I know some people over on Penny-arcade forums. The forums have a corp in Goons, and even there they will tell you goons scam people.

Yes it is 100% true. infact if you listen to the latest episode of the Lost in Eve podcast there is an interview with mittens (Head of Goonswarm) and he say's that anybody offering to let you join eve is scamming you 90% of the time, NONE of the goonswarm main alliances recruit from ingame, they get their recruits from the Something Awful forum, there are a few corporations such as the Wildly Inappropriate corporation or some others that where friends to goonswarm and have been allowed in that may recruit ingame, but 90% of goonswarm will scam you.

Also to those saying it's not right, the alliance leadership is fully aware that their members are scamming people, this is goonswarm, this what they they do, nobody is going to stop them, and if you get scammed by them tough luck. EvE entirely encourages scams and tricks, look in Jita ect, if eve was to start banning scammed i'd be a sad man.

yes they do.
There are many many variations of this. Sometimes it accepted into goons, somtimes it renting, somtimes its blue standing etc...
They all end in one way > POD kill and all ur valuables blown off or in their posetion.
Anybody that has played this game for years, know this too well.
Anybody that denies this, is either too new to the game or playing you for a fool.
If you want to be the next fool, try it XD

Goonswarm not only will kill you and take all your money, we'll take over the market as well.

But we don't scam.
